The special features system is quite complicated, even though there are not an overwhelming amount of features.

Here are the special features of Druids Dreams. The features have a quite complicated structure, maybe too complicated. Of course when playing the slot, you don’t have to know all the details. In my opinion the best slots can have many features, but the system itself is very easy to grasp a hold on to.

Wild symbols can appear as single Wild symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 on the main game, reel 3 on the Respins and on reels 1 and 5 on the Free Spins.

Wild symbols can appear as stacks on reels 2 and 4 in the main game and Respins and on reel 3 in Free Spins. Wild Stacks can cover from one position to the entire reel.

Scatter symbols can appear at the bottom of the Wild symbols stack on reel 2 or at the top of the Wild symbols stack on reel 4 in the main game and Respins. Scatters can be spotted in the middle of the Wild symbols stack on reel 3 in the Free Spins.

Wild symbols substitute all symbols except Scatters. Scatter symbols substitute for all symbols in Druids Dreams.

The Respin feature works like this. In the main game, Wild symbols landing as stack on reel 2 or 4 together with one Scatter symbol become charged and activate the Respins. Each charged Wild symbol awards a Respin.

The Scatter symbol and all Wilds remain in the reels during the end of the Respins.

There is also a special Nudge feature. In the Respins, a stack of Wild symbols landing on reel 2 or 4 without a Scatter symbol activates the Nudge feature. Then you have the chance to land the second Scatter symbol on the reels.

In the main game, the Nudge feature is activated together with the Respins if one stack of Wild symbols lands on the reels together with a Scatter symbol and the second stack of Wild symbols lands on the reels without a Scatter symbol. The Nudge feature ends when the second Scatter symbol lands on the reels or when the Respins end.

2 Scatter symbols landing on reels 2 and 4 in the main game or Respins activate 6 Free Spins. Each charged Wild symbol on reels 2 and 4 awards one additional Free Spin.

All Scatter and Wild symbols that activated the Free Spins are transformed into Wild symbols and remain on the reels until the end of Free Spins.

In the Free Spins, a stack of Wild symbols with a Scatter symbol can appear on reel 3. A Scatter symbol landing on reel 3 together with Wild symbols awards 3 additional Free Spins.

The graphics and music on Druids Dreams are on a very high level. The forest atmosphere is really lively and makes a calm general feeling.

The game animations on bonuses and spinning reels could be smoother. Even though my test computer (Macbook Pro 2017) has still a lot of power, the slot reels seemed to lag a little. Other slot makers do this a little better and all movements are generally smooth.

In overall there’s nothing wrong in Druids Dreams slot game. It’s actually the opposite, everything works well and looks great. In my opinion Druids Dreams still lacks some feeling. So this slot wasn’t made for me, but definitely take a look if if looks interesting to you.

2. Long Pao (Published February 2020)

Long Pao is a 5 x 3 slot game with a stylished Asian comic theme. The designer have definitely read their Manga comics on this one. I really liked the outlook, it’s different and works well with the Asian style music.

The reels stucture seems like a standard 5 x 3, but all the symbols are reels themselves and they spin individually. So there is kind of 15 reels in this slot, even though there are only 5 of the main reels. There are 25 fixed paylines, nothing special in those.

Here are the special features of Long Pao slot. A winning bet line or 3 or more Free Spin symbols activate the Sticky Wins feature. In conclusion Long Pao is very entertaining slot with a lot of action. Especially the Sticky Wins is an interesting feature that can multiply your winning by a big factor. The Free Spins had nothing really special there (except the x3 Multiplier) and they were quite hard to trigger in my test play. So in overall the Sticky Wins feature is where Long Pao shines and it’s the core of this slot game.

Also the individual 15 reels are not a new invention, but in this slot they work well with the Sticky Wins.

Gameplay and graphics are super-fluent and work well. Also the Asian themed music fits well here. A good thing to notice also is the RTP, which is very good with 96.96 % return rate. Also variance is Medium/High, which is what many players prefer.

Long Pao is an excellent and different slot with a cool theme and interesting features and it’s worth checking out in my opinion!
