StarBets Casino Review (2024) – Features, Facts, and a 100% First Deposit Bonus

1. StarBets Casino Review

Here at BCK, I am always on the hunt for new casinos that offer new and unique elements that are different from your average Bitcoin casino. And that’s exactly what I found with StarBets! It has a great user interface with a fun space theme and is filled with a lot of my favorite slots and casino games to play. However, it is important to note that new casinos are usually far from perfect. So, I wasn’t surprised to find several aspects that did not sit well with me in regard to what StarBets Casino has to offer. 

I want to preface this review by saying that StarBets is NOT a bad Bitcoin casino. They offer a lot of really great ideas that I hope will begin to gain traction within the crypto gaming community. But I am not here for the owners of a casino website. I am here for you and me, the players at the casinos. My main goal is to always provide you with my honest and objective view of every casino I review: the good and the bad. So, I hope that the people working at StarBets take my review as constructive criticism and push for improvements because this site really has a chance to be a game changer, in my opinion.

2. Bonuses

According to the customer support team at StarBets, they do not currently offer a welcome bonus. Instead, you can receive a first deposit bonus. Additionally, you’ll also find some unusual bonus incentives that may be of interest to us as crypto players. Let’s take a look at all the current casino bonuses and promotions happening at StarBets Casino at the time of writing this review. 

First Deposit Bonus

New players at StarBets can get a 100% first deposit bonus.

New players who register an account at StarBets Casino can enjoy a first deposit bonus of 100% deposit match up to $1,000. If you are shocked to see that a crypto-only casino displays their welcome bonus in USD, you’re not alone. Make it make sense! But this can become even more confusing when you begin to read into the bonus terms and conditions. Here is a bit of what I found in the T&C, copied and pasted verbatim. 

“To claim the Starbets.io bonus and get a 100% deposit match of up to $200 (or the equivalent in crypto), simply follow the steps below.

• Once you’ve created your account, deposit a minimum of $10 USD or the equivalent in crypto.
• You must place a wager. After the wager has been confirmed, you will be able to collect your bonus amount.”

Umm…what?! Why do I need to place a wager to receive my bonus funds? Just match the deposit like everybody else. But okay, we are here to play casino games, so it’s no big deal, I guess.

But wait. There’s more!

The bonus T&C goes on to state:

“There are a few things to be aware of here. Firstly, the deposit match is capped at $200 or the equivalent in accepted cryptos, such as Litecoin or Bitcoin. This means that you cannot expect to deposit more and have that amount matched. The maximum you can deposit and get matched is $200.” 

Wait, what?! Am I going crazy in my head? The image on their page for the welcome bonus clearly states, “max bonus up to $1,000.” Right?! So, obviously, I reached out to support on this. After a lot of back and forth, I finally received this response:

“Okay, you are reading the FAQ page. which is a first bonus when we launched the new matched bonus promo was max $200 haven’t updated that yet. now is $1000.  Please note the following FAQ is not updated yet. the new bonus promo is max $1000 once you signup you can check the bonus page again.”

Of course! How silly of me! 

So here’s what you need to know about your first deposit bonus at StarBets

• • The max bonus amount is equal to $1,000 USD
  • Min deposit is equal to $10 USD

• A wager of 30X is required in order to collect the bonus.
• Only bets between $0.1 USD and $10 USD will be counted towards the required wager.
• You will need to place a wager BEFORE you will receive your bonus funds.
• If the required wager is not reached before the expiration time or if the bonus is not collected before the expiration time, the bonus will be lost.
• You will have 36 hours upon registration to claim this bonus.

I do want to highlight that “A wager of 30X is required in order to collect the bonus.” This means that you will need to meet the wagering requirements before you can even receive your bonus monies. This is beyond bizarre to me and truly some of the most confusing bonus terms and conditions I have ever encountered. While there is text that discusses an expiration time, no firm duration of time before expiration is ever given. 

Dividend Pool

You can earn dividends in your preferred cryptocurrency.

So, here’s where I was actually impressed with what StarBet has to offer. Players can receive dividends (a share of the casino’s revenues) every day. Every day, a dividends pool accumulates based on the total amount wagered by players. Then, 2% of the dividend pool is distributed among STAR token holders who own a minimum of 10 STARs, while the remaining 98% carries over to the next day’s pool. 

STAR Tokens are the exclusive native tokens of the StarBets.io platform. By simply holding these tokens in your wallet, they are automatically staked, entitling you to daily dividend distributions from our dividend pool. The more STAR Tokens you possess, the greater your dividend payments will be. 

How do I receive STAR Tokens?

Good question. The answers on the site’s FAQ are not very clear on that. The closest to an answer I could find was, “STAR Tokens are mined every time you make a bet. Your dividend distributions are based on the percentage of STAR Tokens you hold.” What is that percentage? Who knows? Because “The specific bet amount required to receive 1 STAR Token may vary.” 

I did find a “mining competition” on the Events page where the top 100 miners would share a prize pool of 2,000,000 STAR tokens. So, that may be your best opportunity to take part in this reward system. 

In theory, I love this concept. What a truly unique approach on how to create loyalty buy-in from your players. You are guaranteed something just for playing every day at StarBets Casino. In practice, however, I am left with no idea of how this formulaic process works. It appears they just reward these STAR tokens as they see fit. So, I would imagine you would have to be a whale at this casino to ever receive one. But I do like the concept, and I hope to see more casinos follow in this territory of reward systems. 

Cashback Bonus

Climb the ranks and earn cashback rewards.

Players can also earn cashback rewards at StarBets. However, how much that is was a mystery while I explored the site. All the site says is, “Your Cashback percentage is based on your Rank. Reach a new Rank to increase your Cashback percentage.” The cashback bonus isn’t daily or weekly at StarBets. Instead, it is up to you to collect your cashback rewards. The site states, “Your Cashback Balance is a percentage of your losses since the last collection.”  

But how much cashback do you get? The site wouldn’t give me that information without creating an account. So, I did so in order to deliver you the best information possible for this review. Sign-up was easy, by the way. You start at Rank 1, where you will receive 1% cashback to start with. But upon reaching Rank 2, you will already be receiving 4% cashback.

The highest rank you can achieve is Rank 17, which comes with all of the following rewards. 

• 30% cashback
• 10% rakeback
• Rank bonus of 0.35 BTC

In theory, this sounds great. But you will need to have wagered 10,000 BTC in order to achieve this level. So, good luck.

Referral Bonus

Send out your referral link and earn even more great rewards.

Refer your friends and get a bonus at StarBets Casino. You’ll be given a unique referral link to distribute amongst your peers. For every friend that creates a new account using your referral link, you’ll receive 0.1% of every wager they make and 5% of all of their mined tokens.

Tournaments

Join exciting leaderboard races and tournaments for your share of the prize pools.

There are a number of daily tournaments and mining competitions at StarBets Casino. The prize pools for the daily tournaments were between 1,000 USDT – 1,500 USDT. The prize pool for the mining competition was 2,000,000 STAR tokens to be distributed amongst the top 100 players who wager the most. You will also find popular network tournaments, including Pragmatic’s Drops & Wins.

Weekly Missions

Complete tasks to earn USDT prizes.

You can also participate in weekly missions to win USDT prizes at StarBets. This was probably the best promotion I saw out of everything here. Every week, you’ll have different tasks to achieve to reach the end goal. For example, on my first mission, the first task was to “Make 1,000 bets on the Dice original game.” Each time you achieve a goal, you will move up to the next task. Or you can choose to repeat a task to increase your prize multiplier. Each task appears to revolve around playing StarBets original casino games.

Lottery

Here’s something you won’t see at every crypto casino—a lottery that gives you the chance to win TON tokens! At the time of writing, the current prize pool is a massive 1.03 TON, and all it takes to enter is purchasing a ticket for 1 STAR token. Easy enough, right?

But what about your chances of winning? Well, StarBets keeps it transparent by showing exactly how many tickets have been sold and your precise odds of taking home the prize. As of the latest round, 60 tickets have been sold, and the current prize pool for Round 5629 is steadily growing.

I love provably fair games because I can easily verify the fairness of every round I play. And StarBets offers all my favorites here, ranging from Dice to Blackjack and even Texas Hold’em. They also have a crash game titled Limbo. This was a fun one to play as it has a really cute space theme that goes along with the theme of the site. The game’s rules mention that it offers a “Neigbor’s Table” feature, where you can view what the imaginary “other players” at the table placed their wagers on. Frozen Tropics by Pragmatic Play

Cool things off with some hot wins in this online slot from Pragmatic.

I ended my tour of the game catalog with a new slot from Pragmatic Play. Frozen Tropics offers a unique 3-4-4-4-4-3 layout with 2,304 paylines. The base game features cascading wins and a progressive multiplier that increases with each win. Landing three or more scatter symbols will reward you with 10 free spins and the chance to win up to 100x your wager. You can earn additional spins by landing 3 or more scatter symbols during the bonus round. This is a really fun slot because you have to break the ice of the frozen symbols as you play. The live chat agent let me know that once you select your currency, you are locked into that for your duration at StarBets Casino.

I am not sure if live chat is available 24/7. There was nothing on the FAQ or support page on this issue, and when I asked the chatbot, it directed me to an article about live casino games. So, the chatbot is not helpful at all. 

Additionally, the FAQ at StarBets is a nightmare. If you go to the FAQ page, it looks beautiful and filled with lots of sections and information. However, the majority of these sections are related to playing their original casino games. Then, if you attempt to click on one of the sections, you are sent to the page on the site for that specific subject instead of receiving an answer to your question. So, if you click on the question “How do Ranks work?” under Cashback, it sends you to the Cashback bonus page rather than giving you an answer to the question. But I suppose that’s better than when you click on the Security section and receive a blank page. 

I’ve already gone over my experience with the live chat support in the bonus section. While I was connected to someone quickly, there was a lot of back and forth where I felt she was confused, and then I was more confused, but we did eventually get to the root of the problem. I wouldn’t say they were helpful, but they are available.

5. Deposits, Withdrawals, and Security

StarBets is a crypto-only casino. Currently, you can make deposits and withdrawals in all of the following cryptocurrencies at this casino site. 

There are no maximum withdrawal amounts, and the site claims there are no transaction fees for withdrawals. 

In terms of security, I have another issue with this site. Currently, it does not have a license, meaning it does not have to answer to a regulatory agency. We all know that can cause all kinds of issues when it comes to deposits and withdrawals. Rumor has it that a license is pending approval. So, if there are any updates on this front, I will update the review accordingly. 

6. Final Thoughts

I feel that I need to repeat myself here that I do not think that StarBets is NOT a bad casino. There is a lot here that I like, and I know this site has true potential to be a disruptor in the Bitcoin casino sphere. But BCK is my pride and joy, and I have to hold true to my own integrity as well as the site’s integrity. I am here to give you my full and honest opinion on all the pros and cons of every casino reviewed on this site. 

So, please know that this review has not been me bashing StarBets Casino. This should be viewed as constructive criticism on things I believe StarBets can easily improve to help their site give players a better experience. This will not only improve the site for us, the players, but also increase their standing amongst the ever-growing field of crypto casinos. When the site improves on the things I have noted, I will update the review accordingly. 

That being said, if you choose StarBets as your preferred casino site, I have no doubt that you will have an enjoyable experience. They have a great game catalog with over 3,000+ games, a great platform with a fun theme, and truly unique incentives (such as the dividends) to keep players coming back for more.
