It’s easy to be confused when playing games from BGaming due to the way they present the amount on screen. Am I a millionaire or am I broke? Nobody knows.
Players Have Enough on Their Minds
I don’t know about you but when I decide to play slots, or any other game for that matter, I want things to run smoothly and be as clear as possible. We all have enough on our minds on a daily basis as it is so we appreciate the straight forwardness of slots.
For some reason, making things overly complicated for players seems to be a top priority for some providers. Today, I am referring to BGaming and their incomprehensible love for kDOG.
If you are not sure what I’m talking about, I get it. Don’t worry, the point with this article is to explain or at least try and clear things up for you. Will I succeed? Who knows, but let’s see in the end if it all makes sense or at least more sense.
That’s a great question and I will admit that I have asked myself the same question. I have even asked around among friends that are way more savvy than me when it comes to crypto and it’s even confusing to them.
If you have played any game from BGaming that allows Dogecoin, you probably know what I’m talking about. The amount of DOG in your account will appear a lot smaller than it really is. Confusing, I know.
Here’s a screenshot from using kDOG in Aztec Magic Bonanza at BitStarz
Kilogram vs kDOG
One way of explaining what kDOG is, is by looking at it as Kilos (kg). We all know that one kilo is one thousand grams (kg= kilograms). Now, the same method is applicable in this case as 1kDOG is 1,000 DOG. I guess you can call it kiloDOG. Crystal clear, right?
If you are betting 2 DOG in a BGaming slot, it will show as 0.002 kDOG. I don’t understand why and I think it’s completely unnecessary.
Tricking You Into Betting Bigger
One of the reasons why I believe this way of presenting the numbers can not only be confusing but it can also be dangerous. How so? Well, the amount on the screen in front of you looks a lot smaller than what it really is and therefore it seems as if you are betting much lower than you really are.
This could easily trick players into raising the bet levels without necessarily realizing it. If you are not aware of it, you risk blowing through your wallet in no time, not realizing what just happened.
Pragmatic Play Is Coming Up
Pragmatic Play is another provider that loves to mess around with how the numbers are presented. If you think this was confusing, just wait because I will take a closer look at Pragmatic Play and their method another time. It is just as confusing.
Same amount but in Beowulf from Pragmatic Play I look like a millionaire.
There Is No Need to Confuse Your Players
Am I being too hard? Are players aware of how kDOG works? BGaming must have a reason for it? I’m sure one could answer yes to all three questions. However, as I mentioned in the beginning, I don’t think you need to confuse players even more by doing this.
I also want to make it clear that the casinos do not control these things. In other words, whether you play at BitStarz, KingBilly, mBit Casino or Stake, there’s no need to blame them.
