Every year since 2011, the super-elite of LoL teams come together for the World Championship. It started small with just eight teams and a humble pot of prize money. 

But, it has exploded. 

By 2021, 22 teams were duking it out for over $2.2 million, with a whopping 73 million fans watching. It’s not just a game anymore; it’s a full-blown spectacle.
