We were quite surprised that out of all the slots games from Belatra, none other than Lucky Roulette slot came up tops! It just goes to show that it doesn’t have to be all about cutting-edge themes or hectically-stylized visuals; sometimes simple is better!

This is a European roulette table (meaning a single zero, versus the American style with two), with a slight twist. Visually, the game is clean and legible, which is exactly what you want for roulette. The purple background gives it a sumptuous feel that’s funky but not overwhelming. 

Taking pride of place above the grid of numbers are 5 blocks that depict the lucky numbers that give this game the edge over run-of-the-mill roulette competitors (but more on that in a bit).

To the left of the table are your coins, while to the right is a list of the previous numbers and these are displayed according to whether they’re hot or cold (even though such things don’t really apply when using a Random Number Generator), or red or black.

Now back to the lucky numbers element. Up to 5 of these will appear randomly in the boxes mentioned earlier, and each pays from 50x to 500x your bet! While that sounds amazing, even the non-lucky numbers can pay at 29:1 odds!

To the bottom left of the screen, you’ll see a crown symbol. This is the Crown Bet element and it works as follows. Choose a nominal value of your chip and pop this special chip on that chosen number. You’ll see a type of crucifix of bets appearing on the table covering a bunch of numbers, and away you go!

Hit the “Start” button, and a big old wheel appears on your screen to add a little drama to the mix. Unlike most other roulette games, this one allows you to use the same Autoplay feature you’d see on other slots. 

Lucky Roulette slot is a great interpretation of what some might deem an otherwise boring game. The RTP is nice and high, at 97.30%, and the max win is a seriously impressive €250,000! If you’re wondering why the number 88 is mentioned in the name of this slot game, it’s because the Chinese believe that it’s a lucky number that can bring wealth and good fortune.

This slot game from Belatra is gorgeously rendered. There’s just so much detail that’s gone into the design that you simply have to applaud the team for their hard work. You’ll see the 5 reels adorned with 3D-like symbols and a golden dragon entwined around the right-hand pillar; its clawed foot grasping onto the “Spin” button.  

Symbols take the form of fans, letters, lotus flowers, scrolls, and teapots. The Wild is a purple and gold button with some firecrackers beneath it and, rather than just substituting for other symbols, it can also signal an upcoming jackpot draw. The Scatter is a dragon head, which is animated when it lands and can set off a free spin feature.

Across the top of the reels, on either side of the dragon’s head, you’ll find 4 boxes with the various jackpots listed (mini, minor, major, and grand). Mirrored at the bottom are 5 Golden symbols and their respective credits. As you increase your bets, you’ll cycle through these Golden symbol boxes so you know how many credits you’ll be staking.
