From in-house tokens, new styles of play, initial coin offerings, in-house-made games, fantastic tournaments, and unlimited withdrawals – the new crypto casino trends are taking the industry by storm.
And, why wouldn’t they!
According to SOFTSWISS’s corporate report for the first quarter of 2022, the sum of bets in digital coins has more than doubled compared to the same period last year.
To be more specific, it has grown by a monstrous 116.7% in one year!
In all honesty, I’m not really surprised by these impressive numbers because crypto casinos are constantly dedicated to improving player experience in a sizable way by coming up with genius ideas that are impossible to shell out at conventional FIAT casinos.
It’s most probably because they have more leeway, and lesser restrictions but so what, and good for them (and you and me) because the trends you’re about to discover, will most likely blow you over.
1. In-house Tokens and Coins
There are a number of crypto casinos that have their own token or coin, like Fairspin and TrustDice but if there is one crypto casino that knows how to electrify this concept, it’s unmistakable BC.GAME.
Let’s start with BC.GAME’s JB Token. This is a token that can not be deposited or withdrawn (for now) and it can only be used to play BC.GAME originals (their own in-house-made games).
What makes this token so significant however is that you are able to use it in turn for rewards as you progress through the VIP levels for things like boosting your Rakeback percentage or you can use the tokens as a network fee.
BC.GAME also has its own currency, the BCD (equivalent to the USD), which is the main currency for bonuses. This means that, when you get bonuses, it’ll generally be in BCD but the good news is that it is quite simple to unlock the bonus funds which are then transferred directly to your BCD balance.
The best part is that you can exchange this in-house currency for other cryptocurrencies instantly, and as an extra perk, they’ll give you a 10% annual return if you decide to hold on to it.
2. Riveting Adventure Quests
One of the newer crypto casino trends is adventures, which is basically a combination of a quest, insanely good graphics, and seriously fruitful prize money.
My two favorites at the moment are BitStarz’s Super Starz Level Up Adventure and mBit’s Crypto Farm Adventure.
BitStarz Super Starz Level Up Adventure takes you back to the ’80s and is jam-packed with Nintendo-inspired nostalgia but unlike the old-school arcade games, this challenge has a prize pool of €10,000 in cash and €50,000 in individual prizes.
It runs until 9 September 2022 and gives you the opportunity to roll and jump through 40 stages to claim awesome rewards along the way.
mBit has an equally fun Crypto Farm Adventure but it’s a little different. There are 31 platforms and every day of the month a new platform can be opened and it looks something like this:
Day 10 – Haystack Spins
You don’t have to find the needle in the haystack to earn free spins. All you have to do is claim three of your favorite sets now:
- 15 Free Spins for 0.9 mBTC
- 30 Free Spins for 2.25 mBTC
- 75 Free Spins for 4.5 mBTC
- 150 Free Spins for 9 mBTC
Get yours now and play them on the hottest Mascot video slots!
3. Peerless Promotions
If you’ve been playing online for a while, I’m pretty sure you’ll remember how lame bonuses were when they were first introduced. Even in this day and age you still see promotions at FIAT casinos that promise up to €100 + 20 Free Spins, which in the crypto casino space, is a laughable matter.
Why? Because crypto casinos have introduced rewards and promotions that we didn’t even know were possible.
TrustDice for example gives you free crypto every 6 hours for simply logging in plus a 50% commission from every faucet they claim if you refer a friend.
And, it’s nothing like the BC.GAME JB Token that I mentioned earlier. This free crypto faucet allows you to claim BTC, EOS, ETH, USDT, USDC, TXT (their own token), and VITA.
You also get rewarded for logging in, staking TXT, claiming rewards, following TrustDice on Twitter or Telegram, up 20% cashback, and free coins/spins when you level up in the Satoshi VIP Club.
One of my other personal favorites is BSpin, maybe because of the simplicity of their uniqueness. They’ve got something called a Backpocket where you can claim free Satoshis every 10 minutes and 5 free spins every 45 minutes, for doing absolutely nothing.
If you do want something more substantial as a bonus though, they also have a 100% fair bonus up to 1,000,000 μBTC + 20 free spins and they’ve got this very unique Bitcoin Value Weekly Cashback where BSpin gives you back what you would have earned by holding on to your BTC. This means that if the BTC price rises, you’ll score but when it tumbles, you won’t win or lose anything.
4. In-house-made games
Another trend that is becoming increasingly popular is in-house-made games. This is when crypto casinos cut out the middle man (software developers) and make original games of their very own.
It’s still in its infancy stage so don’t expect Evolution graphics but some of the games are really cool and mostly all of them have an incredibly low house edge. I’m sure this trend is going to keep on going for a very long time and I’m quite excited about what crypto casinos will whip up in the near future.
For now, you’ll find the best in-house games at BC.GAME, Stake.com, and Bitstarz.
I actually did a detailed review on these games the other day, so if you’d like to know more, go check it out.
5. Everything under one roof
Back in 2013 when crypto and casinos first started this marvelous collaboration, choices were quite limited. You could only find slots and a table game here and there and although many crypto casinos have stuck to this recipe, the trend is fast moving towards offering a Casino, Live Casino as well a sportsbook.
One such casino that has mastered this art is Stake.com. They have managed to uphold the quality of all the elements flawlessly and this seems to be a task that is more difficult than it sounds because I have often seen that when a casino adds a sportsbook, either the casino or the sports section is neglected, like at Betcoin.ag, for example, where the sportsbook is pretty decent but the casino is in shambles.
Another casino that comes to mind that has integrated these two powerhouses extremely well is Fortune Jack Casino. In actual fact, if you compare the odds of Stake and Fortune Jack, Stake always seems to fall short by a small margin.
But all and all, both are equally good one-stop shops and two of my all-time favorite crypto casinos so either way, you won’t go wrong.
What next?
I don’t know about you but for me the crypto casino space is chock-a-block and it’s difficult to even imagine that more revolutionary ideas will pop up anytime soon.
But, the truth is they will.
Maybe it’ll be inspired by AR and VR Technology or maybe the metaverse will allow players to purchase virtual lands in specific games like they already do in Decentraland and The Sandbox.
Who knows?! But, the possibilities are as exciting as they are endless.
