Betcoin.ag Review (2023) – Features, Facts and 3 BTC Bonus

1. Betcoin.ag Review

Overwhelmed. That’s exactly what I felt when I paged through Betcoin’s site. In a way, it almost feels restless, as if way too much information is being hustled in a very small space. 

At the top of the homepage, there is a banner displaying a video clip but the quality is not the best I’ve seen. At the very top, there are 6 vague tabs – Casino, Live Casino, Sportsbook, Live

Sportsbook, Affiliates, and Community. 

If you scroll down you can choose between Popular, New, Live, Slots, Virtual, Provably Fair, Blackjack, Video Poker, Table Games, and Jackpot, and on the right a public chat window constantly pops up in an annoying way. 

This casino was established back in 2013 which might be a reason why the interface is so outdated and unhandy but this is no excuse because there are many other crypto casinos that have been around for a while but manage to get with the times. Bitstarz, for example, was launched in 2014, only one year later and its site is impeccable. 

Another thing they should maybe consider is splitting the casino and sports section entirely, like Winz.io Casino. They have a simple switch tab, making way for two separate sections which leads to an incredibly user-friendly experience. 

There is just too much happening in my opinion but who knows, maybe there’s a method to this madness. 

They do have over 4000 games from more than 40 software providers and an entire section for provably fair games. They also accept no less than 11 cryptocurrencies and have an option to buy crypto with your credit card. 

And, they have bonuses and a VIP club, so let’s not jump the gun, maybe Betcoin.ag is a distinguished casino that’s worth a shot.

2. Bonuses and Customer Support

Now this is where things become really interesting. Betcoin has 3 bonuses – a first, second, and third deposit bonus and it is generally only available for Bronze Level II VIP members and higher. 

This means that you need to deposit 1BTC for 1000 credits which will give you bronze level 2 status after which you will get a match bonus and 1 free spin.  

• First Deposit Bonus – 100% up to 1 BTC + 1 free spin
• Second Deposit Bonus – 50% up to 1 BTC + 1 free spin
• Third Deposit – 25% up to 1 BTC + 1 free spin

It also states the following: 

• The casino bonus does not include table games.

• The casino bonus is not available for play on your mobile phone or tablet.
• The bonus can only be accessed in your bonus section from a computer at www.Betcoin.ag.

I don’t find this incredibly lucrative, to be honest. One free spin, it’s is not available for tablet or mobile, and the wagering is x50! I was shocked and not sure why they advertise it as 10 free spins but you only get 1, or at least 3 at the most and I’m equally shocked that you can only get this bonus after you’ve spent 1000 credits which is a small fortune at 1BTC.

The bonus info on the site is outdated

Nothing made sense so I had no choice but to contact customer support.

To be fair, I need to state that the support agent was fast to get back to me on live chat but the info I found made me beyond confused. 

I asked how the promotions work because it doesn’t make sense on the website. She informed me, that the information was outdated. And, after I checked, I realized that the site was last updated in 2019. They do however have a community that is worth a mention because they do add nice tips and articles and this is updated regularly. 

And, I also noticed that the Betcoin social media pages are updated almost daily so it might be wise to keep an eye on these as well. 

I hammered them with more questions and in the end, they agreed to a special offer. They will waive the bronze II requirements and give this bonus to any new player who signs up through this site. 

Still, the free spins are only 1 per deposit on the first 10 deposits of at least 5 dmBTC but the free spins are more valuable than the spins of sites that give out 50-100 at a time. These spins are worth about $20 each.

Now things started to make sense but it would make life a lot easier for everyone if they just updated their site. 

VIP Program

There are 19 VIP levels to work your way up through. To get Bronze lll level (which is the lowest), you require only 1 status point which is equivalent to 10 USD for sports and 5 USD for the casino. 

Every level get’s you better betback and lossback percentages with the highest being the Master level which requires you to have 10000000 status points. 

This is dreadfully high considering you get a 0.35% betback and 33% lossback for casino and 0.2% betback and 20% lossback for sports.

The VIP program has 19 stages and only 1 status point is required to get Bronze lll level

3. Registration and Deposit

One thing I really like about crypto casinos is the sign-up process. Usually, they only require a username, email address, and password and Betcoin is no different. In two ticks I was registered and it was time to make my first deposit.

I made a 5 DMBTC deposit and expected my deposit bonus to reflect instantly but it didn’t so II sent a message on live chat, again. Turned out that I first had to open a support ticket.

The ‘New Support Ticket’ tab is at the bottom of the site, just so that you know. I sent them a message, requesting my bonus.

 I got the feeling that this was going to take a while so I decided to test some games in the meantime.

4. Game Selection

My first stop was the casino. On the left, you can search games by providers as well as tags, which is quite nice. Satoshi’s Secret from Endorphina first caught my eye so I decided to give it a bash. 

For some reason, I had to choose a fiat currency so that my BTC balance could be converted for the game and I’m pretty sure Satoshi’s Secret is a BTC slot.

Eventually, I found a game that allowed me to play in my own currency, Tipsy Tourist from Betsoft and I soon found out that it had a pretty cool theme. It’s about a bored office worker jumping on a plane to Miami to escape his mundane life. His mission is to play a bit of poker, drink plenty and meet beautiful women along the way. 

The slot also has some nifty features and bonus rounds including Wild Beach Signs, Beachball Free Spins, a Drinking Bonus Game, and Clingy Wilds. And, with spin-stakes starting at 0.02 coins, it was the perfect slot for me to play because I was still waiting for my deposit bonus funds and my 1 free spin.

Both the live casino and table games sections had more than enough to choose from but what interested me more was the virtual sports page. There are about 26 games in this section including Tennis, Greyhound Races, Football, Spin & Win, Cycling, and more. 

I decided to try out Instant Virtual Greyhounds from 1 x 2 Gaming but sadly the game didn’t load at all.

Next, I decided to give the provably fair games the benefit of the doubt. There was 1 game, Provably Fair Dice, and it loaded hurrah!

I’m not too sure what to say about this game. I think my Nintendo had better graphics when I was a kid. Yes, I am aware that provably fair dice games are basic but this game didn’t even really have provably fair results, only a provably fair handshake icon.

I bet, rolled, won, and lost several times but my balance never changed. Customer support informed me that Dice is currently in maintenance test mode

There is however a different way to verify that the dice game is provably fair but it is complicated in my opinion and you won’t necessarily find this option if you don’t know where to look. You need to click on this link – https://www.betcoin.ag/support/what-provably-fair-and-how-does-it-work-0 – where you will find a button that will take you to the Dice roll verifier where you’ll be able to check the fairness of the game.

Sportsbook

So far my experience at Betcoin has not really been favorable, to say the least, but when I headed over to the sportsbook, I immediately got the feeling that this was what they have been focussing on over the past couple of years.  

It is extensive with over 75 sports and you can bet on pre-match or live events. They claim to have tens of thousands of weekly matches with up to 200 markets per match and it does seem that they cater to US players extensively as the majority of their markets for both live and in-play wagering are focused on NHL, MLB, NFL, and NBA, even though the US is a restricted territory.

They also cover e-Sports along with other international sports such as rugby, boxing, soccer, tennis, racing, cricket, and more.

The odds are competitive, especially closer to game time and the minimum wager is 5 USB / 0.005 BTC but the betting limit is 1 BTC or sometimes even lower. It is also important to note that no wager can be placed on a potential winning of more than 5 BTC which does limit punters on how many selections they can add to certain bet types.

5. Banking Options

Because Betcoin is a crypto casino they mainly accept cryptocurrencies but you can buy USDT/BTC with your credit card. When you do this, your USDT/BTC bank account (that you’ll find on the right of the deposits screen), will instantly reflect your deposit in your balance. 

They do however accept 11 crypto coins for both deposits and withdrawals. The minimum deposit is 0.1 mBTC and the minimum withdrawal is 0.0005 BTC but there is no maximum withdrawal limit. 

Deposits and withdrawals need to be in the same currency and you can’t make a deposit less than the minimum required or else you will lose it.

6. Conclusion

I’m a bit lost for words, to be honest. I know this might sound harsh but I am quite surprised that Betcoin still has players sticking around, especially on the casino side. 

The site is cluttered and has many broken tabs and pages. The information is outdated to the point that you don’t know if any information on the site is valid and they have an insanely old-school way of doing things, like the support ticket for example. 

I eventually heard back from the support staff about my bonus and they told me to open any Betsoft game and then inform them that I did this and then they would load my bonus, which is just weird. So, I did get my bonus but what a run around it was. 

I must compliment them on their live chat support, my experience was fantastic every time (and there were many) and both my sign-up and deposit experience was effortless. 

The sportsbook is good in comparison to the casino but the provably fair game is non-existent and the virtual games often don’t work. 

Unfortunately, I can’t give Betcoin my stamp of approval. I believe in less is more and I value quality over quantity. 

Sadly, Betcoin seems to believe in quite the opposite.
