People playing or watching a friend play video poker at bars and other establishments is a common sight these days in a lot of countries. I don’t have any real statistics to give you but I don’t believe video poker is as popular of a choice as slots when it comes to playing online.
Platipus Gaming is trying to alter that behavior by creating and releasing the new 2 Ways Royal game. With popular slots such as Might of Zeus, 7 Hot Fruits and Wild Spin already in its repertoire, will 2 Ways Royal manage to get the attention Platipus is hoping for?
Exclusive Release at BitStarz
What I do know however, is that you have a shot at cleaning up before the majority of players get the chance to. How come? Because until its official release on April 13th, you can only play the game at BitStarz, thanks to another Exclusive Release!
Just like you, I’m curious to find out if the game is any good so without further ado, let’s have a little fun and take this thing for a test drive.
Jacks or Better
The game is based on the classic Jacks or Better, with the addition of recognizing 2 different Royal Flush combinations (10 to Ace or 2 to 6). Platipus is kind enough to lay it all out on the screen in front of you and how much everything pays, like a dangling carrot.
2 Ways Royal has a basic look, which normally I’m not a fan of, but I think it works well for this type of game. I mean considering it all comes down to a deck of cards, it’s not much you can do in terms of crazy graphics.
I will get to the rest in just a second but first I’ll show you the numbers for the exclusive BitStarz release:
RTP: 97.42%
Bet Limits: €0.20 – €250
Multiplier: 800x
Fiat/Crypto: All currencies available
Volatility: Low/Medium
Load up on Your Chances of Winning
One of my favorite things with 2 Ways Royal is when it comes to how many hands you want to play. You will of course start off the action with just a single hand but you can quickly turn up the heat to 5, 10, 25 or why not go all in with as many as 50 hands?
I started off with a single hand before moving up, step by step from 1 to 5 to 10 hands. As you increase the number of hands, the downside is of course that your bet size will increase along with it.
I’m All In
After playing with 10 hands, I decided to skip over 25 and head all the way to the maximum 50.
Despite the risk with bigger bets, I felt like the wins made up for it and I did manage to land a couple of nice ones.
More Hands Means More Fun
There’s no doubt playing more hands makes things even more fun and it’s difficult to go back down after getting a taste of all the hands and their potential. As long as you keep an eye on your budget, I don’t see a problem with it.
Double Your Winnings
Another feature worth knowing about is the Gamble option after each of your wins. It’s a classic card game of guessing color or the suit.
Do you play it “safe” by guessing red or black? Maybe you enjoy seeking the bigger thrill by focusing on any of the 4 suits? Whatever you’re in the mood for, it can help double your winnings.
2 Ways Royal – A Pleasant Surprise
Normally video poker isn’t my first option and I didn’t really expect much from 2 Ways Royal. However, I ended up having a lot more fun than I thought I would.
Players have been enjoying a lot of Platipus slots with Bitcoin for a while now and I hope they give 2 Ways Royal a chance as well. If they can make me a fan of video poker again, there’s no doubt that other players will love it.
Remember that if you want to become a 2 Ways Royal champion before the official release on April 13th, head over to BitStarz and dive right into it.
Good luck!
