If you remember, towards the end of last year we presented some data from a few different casino markets around the world. What are the most popular games? What does an average gaming session look like? What providers are preferred in a specific market? These are just some of the questions being answered. The point of it was to see how player preferences compare from one market to another and it’s a pretty interesting read.
The markets that were covered were Brazil, Greece and Romania. Today, I will share some information from the Colombian casino market and we can get an idea of how Colombia stands up towards the other countries.
What Are You Missing?
Depending on where in the world you are playing from, seeing what and how others are playing can give you some ideas on what you are missing out on in terms of games etc.
I don’t know too much about the Colombian market but my guess is that in terms of which of the other markets would be the most similar would of course be Brazil. Let’s see if the two markets are even the slightest bit similar.
Most Popular Game Themes
Just like when I covered the other markets, I’ll begin by looking at the most popular themes.
The Power of Nature
We all know the beauty of nature and the power that exists within. I mean South America has some of the most spectacular nature the world has to offer. The Amazon is only one of the two rainforests in Colombia so perhaps that’s the reason why Fruit and Animals are the two most popular game themes.
Looking at the graph, the themes are pretty close in terms of percentages, so I guess we can say the interests are spread out quite evenly.
If we tie it back to the Amazon and the fact that Colombia shares the jungle with Brazil, perhaps players interests are aligned as well.
Almost Identical Theme Preferences
As you can see, the top 3 themes in Brazil (Animals, Fantasy & Fruits) can also be found among the top 4 themes in Colombia. I would say that’s pretty similar, wouldn’t you?
Who Are the Top Providers?
I have to say that I was a bit surprised when I saw the list of the Top 10 providers. Why? Because if we’re thinking that it would be similar to the one for Brazil, we would be way off.
3 of 10 Doesn’t Make It Similar
Colombia has only 3 providers on its list that are among the Top 10 in Brazil. The ones making both lists are:
- Spribe
- SlotMatrix RGS
- Spinomenal
I believe there are bigger, or at least more recognizable names on the Brazilian list but at the same time, each market is different and the players enjoy different things. The explanation to Spribe being the number one provider comes in just a little bit, so keep reading.
Spribe Produces Turbo Games
For me, Spribe is mostly known for the Crash game Aviator. Sure, they have Poker and other types of table games but the main focus is on so-called Turbo Games. This section of games consists of games such as:
- Aviator
- Mines
- Dice
- Mini Roulette
- HILO
- Plinko
- Goal
You can find Aviator at most of your favorite crypto casinos but you are sure to find them at:
Aviator – Ready For Take Off
Here’s the explanation we’ve been waiting for. Aviator sits comfortably at the top of the mountain, which I think is pretty cool considering the type of game it is. I haven’t seen any other market where it’s not a popular slot that is the most popular, so in a way, the Colombian market is quite revolutionary.
I should add that Aviator is the second most popular game in Brazil.
New Names to Memorize
There are a lot of games on this list that I’m not overly familiar with so just like all of you, I may have to give these new games a chance and see what makes them so popular.
The most recognizable names for me besides Aviator are:
- Laughing Buddha
- The Wild Wings of Phoenix
- Buffalo Hold and Win
- Cash Pig
- Book of Demi Gods II
More Gambling Stats
Games, themes and providers aren’t the only stats that are worth taking a look at. There are some other nuggets available that I want to bring up, especially around game sessions.
Here are some noteworthy highlights:
- The average bet in Colombia for the 20 most popular games is €0.34. This happens to be more than 30% less than the average bet in Brazil.
- Only 5% of the Top 20 games have an average bet higher than €1
- Colombian casino players prefer games with Medium volatility
- The average number of bets per gaming session is 75. Colombian players actually play 50% less bets than Romanian players per 90 day timeframe.
How Do You Like to Play?
Now that you’ve gotten an insight on what’s going on in Colombia, how do these stats match up to yours? Are you an avid Aviator player? Do you enjoy Animal or Fruit themed slots?
Whatever your preferences are, I’m convinced you have no problem finding what you’re looking for at the best crypto casinos on my list.
May Lady Luck be on your side!
