I can really see that as the slot graphical and audio quality is not up to date when compared to other casino game providers. MrSlotty has a lot of development to make here as the players are a lot more demanding these days and just ok is not enough for most of them.

But if you are looking for a little more retro and old school type slot games, you could find your favourite among MrSlotty slot titles. Let’s look into some of the most interesting ones in this article.

This is very retro looking Gold Miners slot from MrSlotty. It has also some Minecraft vibes I guess? Intentionally or not, don’t know?

• Graphics, animations and the soundtrack is at best mediocre in quality. The level on all of these lacks a lot behind compared to even other medium level casino game providers.
• RTP (Return to player) percentages are also very low (around 94-95 %) compared to other game providers.
• User interface of the slots is made with symbols, there is a minimal amount of text. I found this a little hard at start, but maybe you get used to this after a while.

There’s a lot missing in this game and the look of it doesn’t help. Despite the greenery, the game looks very bland and the symbols are way too small to look at. You will (hopefully) come across a couple of features though and wilds are one of them.

Oh, remember the days when the word quarantine was on everybody’s minds? I’m glad it’s over but if you feel like revisiting and reminding yourself how people were going crazy, you can do so thanks to the Quarantine slot. 

Unfortunately, Mr Scotty has once again made the symbols way too small and difficult to see. There are some interesting characters involved here but I wish they were more visible and detailed. There’s a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe over it.

I guess Mr Slotty is expecting to scare players with the graphics and them but considering you can barely see what’s happening on the reels, it’s not very effective. If the quarantine theme is what you are looking for, there are better games to spend your money on.

1. Gold Miners

Gold Miners is a Gold Rush themed slot with a lot of minecraft vibes in the graphics. I don’t know if this is intentional or just lack of design skills, but Gold Miners looks very outdated.

Or if you happen to like slots that look like this, you could call Gold Miners old school and retro.

For me, Gold Rush feels like an afwul elementary school game class project with a grade “failed”. Anyway, let’s look closer into this slot.

The graphics are so horrible in Gold Miners slot, so one image is enough. I apologize for uploading this sincerely!

The features are very minimal, there are only few of them. Besides regular symbols there are Wild symbol (the Miner). Wild also pays the highest amount with 200x bet if you hit 5 to the same payline.

If you get 3, 4 or 5 Gold symbols, you will be granted 1, 3 or 10 free spins respectively. That’s it for the features.

I tried to play Gold Rush for at least 30 min to 1 hour (like I usually do on other slots), but I just couldn’t. The graphics and animations are so horrible that my eyes started to bleed.

Also the Western Whistle music was just hideous when you hear it looping for the 100th time.

Just don’t play this slot.

2. Meme Faces

Meme Faces is a very special slot game with meme theme. I have never seen anything like this, so a plus to MrSlotty for the unique idea.

The game mechanic is very typical for MrSlotty: 5 x 3 slot board, very few features and basic symbols.

The basic symbols are all black and white, and it is quite hard to distinquish them from each other. Also it’s hard to know which symbols are higher paying and which are not – and why?

There is one Wild symbol (The symbol 7). The Wild also pays 2000x bet if you get 5 Wilds to same payline.

The red Cherry symbol will give you free spins. If you get 3, 4 or 5 Cherry symbols, you get 1, 3 or 10 free spins respectively. So the game mechanic is almost exactly same as in any other MrSlotty slot game introduced on this page.

The background noise (?) is very weird as the sounds are choppy and turn on and off. I have no idea what the idea has been there. Also the reel spinning sounds are very basic and there isn’t animations or special effects whatsoever.

Meme Faces is really basic slot game with very basic features. The idea is very good, but I think it is wasted with boring animations, bonus games and basic game mechanic. Go check out yourself, but I can’t really recommend this to anyone especially with very low 94 % RTP rate.

3. CryptoMatrix

CryptoMatrix is a cryptocurrency themed slot game from MrSlotty.

The slot board is quite interesting with a layout of 3-1-3-1-3.

The game mechanic is quite simple. The slot symbols consist of different cryptos, starting with Iota-style symbol (lowest paying symbol) and going up to Bitcoin (highest paying regular symbol).

The top paying symbol is the Wild symbol. If you get 5 Wild symbols to a paying line, you get 1500x times bet prize.

There is also a Free Spins symbol. If you get 3 or more Free Spins symbols, you are granted 15 Free Spins.

This is CryptoMatrix slot by MrSlotty. One picture is enough of this slot, as there is absolutely nothing special happening here. Regular gameplay and free spins – all look the same like this image.

So in overall the game mechanic is really simple and quite plain to be honest. Graphics look ok, but there are no minor and major symbols that would look totally different from another, so it’s hard to differentiate bigger wins or close wins.

The soundtrack is also quite plain with futuristic electronic music with quite short looping time.

Animations and the reel functioning is not very smooth and they look quite choppy when compared to other game providers.

The return to player percentage is really low with 94.6 % which is important to keep in mind. So investing to let’s say Dogecoin should be way more profitable than playing this slot.

In overall CryptoMatrix was somewhat of a disappointment. Even though I am a crypto fan, I found this slot quite awful to be honest. There are so much better made slots out there, so I recommend skipping this one.

4. Aztec Pyramids

Aztec Pyramids is an Aztec mythology themed slot established in July 2014.

First thing you notice when you start the game is the atmosphere. Sounds consist only from birds singing and other cool rainforest sounds. There are no music if you are not spinning the reels.

Graphics are pretty much ok, but the animations and winning effects are still quite choppy compared to the competition.

This is Aztec Pyramids slot from MrSlotty.

When you spin the reels, a drum music starts. Also the reel stopping sound is some kind of a drum. This started to get annoying in the long run.

The winning animations come with a delay. It is sometimes hard to tell if you win or not if you make quick respins.

The game mechanic is once again really simple. The regular symbols look really a like and it is hard to tell which ones are the highest paying ones (of course you can look from the info screen). But in many slots, you can right away tell that this symbol pays the most.

In Aztec Pyramids. the coolest looking and most colorful face symbol is the least paying symbol. But the brown and boring Pyramid is the highest paying symbol. Doesn’t make any sense to me.

Besides the regular symbols there are Wild symbols. They pay 2000x bet if you get 5 to the same payline.

If you hit the 3, 4 or 5 Golden Skull symbols, you will 1, 3 or 10 free spins respectively.

The RTP (Return to player) percentage is horrible with 94 %. Many other slots offer percentages of at least 96 % and some slots go very close to 98 % which is excellent.

In my opinion Aztec Pyramids is not a horrible slot game, but other Egyptian or Aztec themed slots are just way better. I see no reason to start playing this instead of others. I would choose for example John Hunter & the Tomb of Scarab Queen from Pragmatic Play, Egyptian Rebirth II from Spinomenal, Relic Hunters and the Book of Faith from Wazdan or Aztec Palace from Booming Games for high quality Ancient action.
