One of the more interesting features I discovered while researching online slots by Gamzix is what their team has termed jackpot customizations. Their website does not go into much detail on this feature but states, “A lot of options for jackpot customization will satisfy even the pickiest marketer.” I was confused by what this meant, so I did a little digging.

When I went to BitStarz, I saw all of the games by Gamzix listed had a progressive jackpot of over $700 linked to them. But then, I went to BitKingz, and the progressive jackpot on the games was only at $62. So, I followed up by heading to Kryptosino, where none of the Gamzix games had a progressive jackpot turned on. But I wanted to ensure I fully understood this feature, so I made one more stop at Oshi Casino, and the progressive jackpot feature was turned on but was sitting at $64. 

But no progressive jackpots to be found in the same game at Kryptosino.

This leads me to believe that the online casinos themselves control this feature. They have the power to turn it on and off for Gamzix games, and it is a personal progressive jackpot specific to that casino rather than one large progressive jackpot players from all the casinos are spinning for, such as in Microgaming’s Mega Moolah slot.

Fruit Story: Hold the Spin has more than one feature worth exploring, which I think is the bare minimum to get any attention. You will encounter both Mystery Symbols Wilds, Scatters and Stacked Symbols. However, the most interesting feature is of course the Hold the Spin bonus game.

It takes 6 or more coin symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger the feature, which is pretty normal.

Only using gold coins, you will start off the bonus round with 3 spins. If you have ever played a bonus game like this one, you will know that with each new symbol you land, your count will reset to 3 and you can keep spinning.

Once you’ve used up all your spins, the cash values on the screen will be collected and summarized before being shipped to your account. 

Win A Jackpot

There are as many as four in-game Jackpots (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum). If you want to get your hands on the Platinum, you will have to fill all the 20 spots in the bonus game.

Overall

A classic fruit machine appeals to a smaller demographic and not necessarily to the mass. Personally I fall in the latter category and always have done. Can I see the beauty in a game like Fruit Story: Hold the Spin? Of course I can, but in my opinion there are so many other slots that are more interesting.

No, Ultra Luck might have an appealing name but it is far from my type of game. It’s way too retro but I’m aware that some players like it so it can still be fun, depending on your preference.

It would be horrible without the Wheel of Fortune, so let’s just say that spinning the big wheel helps give Ultra Luck a better grade.

If you read about Dice: Hold the Spin above, this game is exactly the same, except the symbols do not have the dice images. The 3×3 board is the same, the RTP, max win, and volatility are all the same, and the bonus game plays out the exact same. This is an instance where a game provider looks to boost the number of games they offer, so they throw a different skin on it to try to claim it is new. And to be fair, 3×3: Hold the Win is the original variation. Other versions of this game include 3×3 Hell Spin and 3×3 27 Ways, which at least offers more than five paylines.

You’re in the driver’s seat of this mafia-themed online slot. The game has a 5×4 board and 50 paylines.
