I’m pretty sure we’ve all dreamt about being a superhero as a kid. This was before realizing that maybe throwing on a spandex suit and a cape didn’t actually allow you to either fly or have super powers. What a let down, right?
Flying Humans Are On Their Way
With DC Comics and endless Marvel movies popping up, it’s probably an even bigger dream for today’s kids. Then again, the way technology is going, who knows how long it’ll take before flying humans is an actual possibility.
Until that happens, we’ll have to settle for on-screen action and with Play ‘n GO’s latest releases, Ternion, the superheroes are inviting us into their world once again.
Is it a hit? Is it a miss? Stay with me as I am about to find out.
The City is Under Attack
Ok, so Play’n GO has created a backstory about 3 superheroes (Ternion means a trio) having been called to protect Victory City from being attacked. Marvelosa, The Incredible Wonder and Windstorm are the chosen heroes.
I’m personally not a fan of these types of stories but millions upon millions of people are so who am I to judge.

Activate Ice Shards
Let’s jump straight into the features of the game and Ice Shards is the first one. Windstorm is the superhero in charge and she can be quite generous. In the base game, she can randomly appear and shoot out ice that turns into 3-10 wilds.
If you manage to trigger some Free Spins, you can get as many as 16 of them. Not bad at all, Windstorm!
Blade Flurry
Marvelosa is in charge of Blade Flurry and she’ll use her electric-green beams and remove all royal symbols. It’s an upgrade and you will get hero symbols instead.
Pillars of Flame
The third superhero special power comes from The Incredible Wonder. Am I alone in wondering how long they had to brainstorm before coming up with that name? Anyway, the Pillars of Flame will turn 1-3 reels into Wilds.
During Free Spins, up to 4 reels can be affected.
Call For Heroes
When there’s no Bat signal to be put to use, Call for Heroes gets its own feature. The trick to triggering Free Spins is of course to land at least 3 scatters and Call for Heroes can help get you there.
At any time, the feature can grant you 2 bonus scatter on the first two reels, giving you the perfect shot at landing another one.
Doomsday Free Spins
As mentioned, scoring 3-5 bonus scatters will secure between 8-12 Free Spin. While in Free Spin mode, you can retrigger them by landing another 3-5, pocketing up to 6 additional spins.
Your Free Spin adventure will ask you to collect crystal symbols, as they will charge your superheroes.
- Fill it up 1-2 times and trigger 1 random superhero power
- Fill it up 3-4 times and trigger 2 superhero powers
- Fill it up 5 times and trigger 3 superhero powers
I wasn’t lucky enough to trigger any Free Spins so unfortunately I don’t have a personal experience to share with you. I think it looks interesting though so I’m sure the bonus round can be quite profitable in the end.
Overall
Spending time with superheroes does actually make you think you are one of them, at least for a short while. I think the features in Ternion are quite good and I would have wanted to see what the Free Spins part of the game is like.
Ternion should be able to attract some interest because it’s actually interesting and something different than fruit machines and cartoon animals. Can it turn you into a superhero? Sure, at least while you’re playing and if you can land a couple of big wins you definitely might feel like one.
You can find the game at CryptoLeo, BitStarz and Stake among others.
