Congratulations UFC fans! It won’t be long until you can be spinning the reels with Jon Bones Jones, Sugar Sean O’Malley, Alex Pereira and maybe even The Notorious Conor McGregor.
Dana White and the UFC organization just announced that they have signed on the dotted line of a 3-year deal with game provider Games Global. Thanks to the new partnership, we can expect the first slots featuring official UFC branding to hit the market this July. The plan is for Games Global to develop casino games that feature UFC themes as well as imagery.
We can expect an “exclusive” soft launch as early as the end of this month. The general public however will have to wait until July before the games will be released world wide.
More Than 1,300 Games
As far as Games Global goes, the brand might not be the most recognized provider from a player perspective. However, the company started as late as 2022 and already has an impressive portfolio of more than 1,300 games.
Some of the crypto casinos where you can find Games Global games are:
Games Global Enters the US Market
The next move is to take on the US iGaming market and what better way to make an impression than to team up with one of the biggest brands in sports that just happens to have more than 700 million fans globally and around 260 million social media followers. At the same time, the UFC are looking for ways to reach a different type of audience, making this a great match.
The partnership with Games Global will help the UFC to reach real-money casino players in US states like Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, where online casinos are legal.
Bring the Intensity and Energy of the Octagon to Life
Tracey Bleczinski, Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products at UFC, had the following to say about the new partnership:
“At UFC, we’re always looking for innovative ways to engage with our passionate fan base around the world. This exciting new partnership with Games Global allows us to do just that by bringing the intensity and energy of the Octagon to life through unique UFC-themed slot titles. We believe that these games will be a hit with fight fans everywhere, and we are proud to be working with Games Global, a leading provider and distributor of iGaming content, to deliver this world-class entertainment experience”.
Not the First Casino Rodeo for The UFC
If you are someone who enjoys the action of both online casinos and the UFC, you probably know that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the two mentioned together. Even though we haven’t seen an actual game before, there are multiple other partnerships.
For example, Roobet has been a UFC partner since 2023 and works closely with one of the biggest fighters in Charles Oliveira.
Current UFC Double Weight Champion, Alex Pereira
Someone who’s an even bigger partner of the UFC is Stake. Since 2022, Stake has been able to offer a lot of sports betting promotions on UFC fights. Stake has as many as five fighters on their roster, including champions like Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya.
A Knockout Partnership
The UFC isn’t the only one excited as this is a great opportunity for Games Global and their new US adventure. When asked to share his feelings regarding the new deal, Andy Booth, Chief Product Officer at Games Global, said:
“Games Global is thrilled to announce this knockout partnership with UFC, bringing the Octagon to life across multiple epic slot titles in the next few years. This exclusive deal allows us to develop UFC-themed online slots for UFC’s millions of fans who share our passion for action and excitement. Partnering with UFC, one of the most popular sports brands in the world, is significant for us and we look forward to showcasing our first title to the world in the coming months.”
The Cage: Underground Fight Club by Nolimit City
I’m curious to see how these new games will turn out and I really hope Games Global can deliver. We’ve seen too many attempts over the years where providers have used the names of blockbuster movies, tv-series or a variety of sports and the games end up being awful.
If you can’t wait for the UFC slot to come out and want to fight it out inside an octagon, your best option is The Cage: Underground Fight Club by Nolimit City. It’s not great but it will hopefully take care of your craving for blood.
