When the mobile game Fruit Ninja hit the market back in 2010 it didn’t take long before it became a global success. Who knew it could be so much fun slicing and dicing fruits, right? It was so much fun that now, 13 years later, we finally get to see a slot inspired by the sword- swooshing master.
Exclusive Release Available
GameBeat is the studio behind the Juicy Do 5 slot release and as a matter of fact, it’s being launched on June 1st. Should your sword be sharpened and good to go before then, you can master your cutting skills at BitStarz thanks to another exclusive release.
Does Juicy Do 5 measure up to its original inspiration? Hold onto your kimonos and let’s find out!
Can You Handle the Pressure?
I have to admit that even though I wasn’t a massive Fruit Ninja fan back in the day, at least I remember the game. Even though we shouldn’t expect the same hype, GameBeat announcing the inspiration for Juicy Do 5 does put a lot of pressure on the game.
If you’re anything like me, you also expect a quality gaming experience with lots of features and a heavy dose of action!

A Solid First Impression
Ok, so at first glance the theme lives up to my expectations and the graphics are pretty solid. Pineapple, plums, lemons, oranges etc are all in place and I’m preparing myself for a tasty vitamine-filled juice full of wins.
Could this perhaps be the dojo where all the magic happens?
Wanted Dead or Alive – Features
Hmm… Here I thought that 3 scatters would give me Free Spins or at least launch some sort of fun bonus round. Instead, I was met with a regular win and nothing else.
I do the reasonable thing and go into the information about the game and take a quick look at the paytable. To my surprise, when it comes to the symbol combination that’s on my screen it tells me the following:
“ 3 or more scatters pay at any position on the reels. Scatter wins are added to line wins.”
As you can imagine, man, did I feel cheated.
Hello – Where Are You, Features?
I couldn’t believe it. With all the hype of Fruit Ninja and the focus on making the game look cool, GameBeat must have completely forgotten about adding features. This is actually one thing that I dislike the most about some slots, the lack of any features whatsoever.
Players should at least be able to count on Free Spins or some sort of feature that will shift the game play from one thing to another, no matter how temporary.
A Clean Slice Doesn’t Make the Juicy Taste Any Better
Yes, I love the inspiration GameBeat took from Fruit Ninja. Yes, the game looks great, just look at the Pomegranate in the image above. But that’s it, there’s nothing else for players to look forward to with this slot.
It might sound harsh and it could just be my personal taste but I feel let down and highly disappointed.
Juicy Do 5 – A Swing and a Miss
It doesn’t matter how you twist and turn it, I will never go back and play this game again. It’s a waste of time for me. You might enjoy it as we all have different tastes and preferences when it comes to games but if anyone ever asks me if I would recommend the game, I would have to say don’t waste your time.
With that said, I could see myself downloading Fruit Ninja again though as that game was actually entertaining.
Available Now
If you do want to test out the game in order to come up with your own opinion, you can and should. As mentioned in the beginning, Juicy Do 5 is available at BitStarz right now and the official release date is on June 1st.
Sorry, I expected so much more, GameBeat!
