Relax Gaming and Nolimit City have just released new slots and with names like this, the bar is set high.
Full Blown Action at its Finest
High octane action and angry drivers will dominate this article and I hope you’re ready for it. I will review the latest game releases from both Relax Gaming and Nolimit City.
You can find both games at BitStarz, Wild Tornado and Winz.io among others.
Based on previous experience I’m expecting something out of the ordinary so let’s see if they can live up to my expectations.
Let’s roll!
Very interesting start of the game
Dead Riders Trail – Relax Gaming
Are all motorcycle gangs criminals? No, not at all but the one known as Dead Riders definitely is. Not only will they steal, rob and kill for money, they can also make you a whole bunch of it.
It’s all going down in the latest slot from Relax Gaming – Dead Riders Trail.
Despite a pretty solid 96.2% RTP and high volatility, the biggest thing in this game I feel is the 50,000x multiplier.
Let the action begin!
Classic robbery
Press the button and the armored truck will explode
Video Intro Sets the Tone
Dead Riders Trail opens with a video intro that sets the tone for what’s to come. A guy dressed in all black, wearing a bike helmet is about to blow up an armored truck, full of cash.
With an opening like this, the bar is set pretty darn high. It feels like Relax Gaming tries to build a slot with a Grand Theft Auto feel and in terms of graphics I can see the resemblance. The question is, can Dead Riders Trail live up to the expectations.
Grand Theft Auto vibes all around
Where Did the Action Go?
It took me a long time and a lot of spins before something interesting even happened. To be honest, I was getting bored and was even considering shutting it down and moving on to another game.
There had to be a fun feature or something to look forward to and I hadn’t even been close to any of it.
Take your pick
Buy Bonus
When things get too slow for my liking, one can always count on the Buy Bonus feature and I actually hadn’t even noticed it until I went into the information about the game and saw that there should be one.
At least now I knew that I would be able to get to a bonus round or something, as long as the price was right and it was.
Your options are:
- Feature Wheel
- Bonus Trail
- Super Bonus trail
Very creative solution
Feature Wheel
I have seen quite a bit of wheel features over the years but I must say this one stands out. You don’t see Uzi’s deciding where it will stop in TV game shows, do you? It’s a very nice detail.
The wheel can get you 4 or 7 Free Spins, the Bonus trail or the Super Bonus Trail. I ended up on 7 Free Spins, which didn’t feel too bad.
Gamble or Free Spins
Imagine my surprise when this message pops up on the screen. I was caught off guard as I wasn’t expecting it but I figured I would gamble and see where it would take me.
I was expecting another spin at the wheel but Relax Gaming had something else in mind apparently.
This seems risky
The Old Knife Trick
You will see the man on the screen move the knife between his fingers while performing the old knife trick. This was not at all what I had in mind but of course I had to click on the screen and try to get my bonus.
Instead, one of the fingers was chopped off and left me with a bloody stump. What!?!?! Maybe I was naive but I didn’t see that coming.
It didn’t end there because since I failed the knife trick, I also lost my Free Spins and was sent straight back to the base game. Wow!
Bonus Trail
I had to go back into the buy Bonus again and pay the €10 fee. This time, the wheel landed on the Bonus Trail and I was curious to see what this meant.
X marks the spot
Increase Your Multiplier
The Bonus Trail showed a map and with 3 turns, your marker will move around the trail, picking up multipliers.
Should you end up on one of the trucks, it will trigger a feature. Land on a can of gas and you’ll get another turn.
How far can you go?
Hurry Before You Run Out of Attempts
You will eventually run out of attempts and hopefully your multiplier has grown substantially by then.
Mine went up to 24x which isn’t that much, especially if you bet €0.20, but I’ll take it.
Explosive Wins
The cool graphics continued and even though this is a screenshot, it is animated and looks really good.
I obviously didn’t win it but if you max out all your winnings in the Bonus Trail, you can win as much as 50,000x, which is known as a Road Rage Win!
Verdict
Thankfully I stuck around long enough to get the full experience of the game because it was really slow in the beginning. If I had to give it a grade then, it may have been the worst game I had played for a long time.
Instead, it turned out to be not that bad after all and I think with a bit of luck it can be great. There are a lot of cool graphics that really help the game.
Should you be off to a slot start like me, swing by the Buy Bonus and it will help save the day.
I can see myself go back and play Dead Riders Trail another time and that means a lot in my book.
What are the odds that the 50,000x max win in Dead Riders Trail is known as the Road Rage Win when I’m about to review a new slot called Road Rage? Crazy, right?
Road Rage comes out of Nolimit City and is another high volatility game with a pretty good 96.03% as well as a 36,000x max multiplier.
Enjoy yourself, 4:20 Gran
Hello there, Karen
I really like the initiative of a new theme and we can all relate to road rage. The comedic angle is there with some recognisable characters, like everyone’s favorite Karen and a weed puffin’ granny.
The 3 Bonus Modes
Like in most games, scatters can help you out if you manage to catch enough of them. This time, collecting scatters can result in 3 types of bonus modes.
- 3 Scatters = 6 Spins in “Morning Rush”
- 4 Scatters = 8 Spins in “Highway Jam”
- 5 Scatters = 10 Spins in “City Mayhem”
I’m not sure which type of traffic I hate the most in real life but who knows, maybe I’ll find out through Road Rage.
Look Out for Other Cars
When you’re on the road you are never alone and Road Rage has 3 other types of cars that can affect your play.
- Yellow Car/Engine Breakdown – Increases all other symbol sizes by 1 on the same reel
- Red Car/Drive By – Drives from right to left and increases the multiplier by 1 for every symbol it drives over. It will also leave a wild in its original position as well as where it stops.
- Green Car/Drive By – Drives from left to right and increases the multiplier by 1 for every symbol it drives over. It will also leave a wild in its original position as well as where it stops.
These cars are capable of colliding on the reels and this will add up the multipliers from both cars.
Morning Rush
When you have triggered Morning Rush with 3 rows, one of the wild cars will be chosen and will act as a sticky wild during the bonus round.
If you can land another scatter or two, you will be upgraded to Highway Jam or City Mayhem, depending where you started.
You can also be rewarded extra spins.
Pay up or shut up
Highway Jam
As you know, it takes 4 scatters to trigger Highway Jam with 4 rows and this will choose two wild cars instead of just one.
That’s the only difference from Morning Rush and you can still be upgraded and get more spins.
Which one do you want?
City Mayhem
Just like the others but City Mayhem is 5 rows deep and will get help from 3 wild cars as sticky wilds.
Ride the Morning Rush
Bonus Buy
Nolimit City will always give you the options of paying for the bonus round and you will have 4 options this time.
I chose the cheapest option and was awarded with Morning Rush. Looking at the character, he feels like a comic book version of Terry Crews. What do you think?
I was given 6 Morning Rush Spins and I was curious to see what the bonus round would be like. It didn’t take long at all until it was all over and I barely had a chance to take in what had happened.
It went by so fast and it was really hard to understand how it all worked. I know I saw some of the cars on the reels but I’m not sure I have ever experienced such a quick bonus round, especially since I had 7 Free Spins.
That Was Quick
Apparently I managed to scoop up 23.30 mLTC on a 2 mLTC bet, which isn’t bad. However, I did leave the bonus round with a bad feeling because of how fast it was and there was no time to actually analyze how it worked.
I was definitely disappointed.
Verdict
To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect from Road Rage but it felt like it would be fun and different. I can’t say I was overly impressed with the looks of it.
After having played the game, I must admit to leaving feeling a bit deflated and it wasn’t a good vibe overall.
I can’t put my finger on it but it just wasn’t as much fun as I had hoped. If you have read any of my reviews before, you know I’m a big fan of Nolimit City and have been for a long time but Road Rage is not a good representation of the brand.
Basically the game left me with road rage and I’m sorry to say but I won’t be going back.
Bump in the Road
Regardless of what I think about these two games, it doesn’t mean that you won’t like them. Give them a chance and perhaps it all turns out better for you than it did for me.
Nolimit City and Relax Gaming have both delivered some really solid games over the years and I know they will continue to do so. Who’s the winner of the two? Definitely Dead Riders trail.
Good luck
