It only took a couple of seconds before coming to terms with the fact that I’m clearly not in the right demographic for Samurai’s Katana. I have no idea about any type of storyline or I’m not even sure I have any interest in it either, if I’m being honest. 

The graphics are a red flag for me and I think that’s more because of the style it’s in, rather than the actual symbols. It feels like a 90’s game compared to what else is out there, I’ll quickly move on to the next.

I fully understand that Samurai’s Katana can sound appealing considering the features I just mentioned AND the max multiplier is as high as 10,000x. Regardless, Samurai’s Katana is just not for me.

Personally, I’m a big fan of features since they are able to bring so much extra to a sometimes otherwise plain game. I’m not expecting all of them to line up as many features as Shamrock Saints but it’s for sure making it more appealing, don’t you think?

This version of Mystery Symbols really brings back memories from the church. Obviously it’s not a unique feature but it does have a different look than in most other games and one that I tip my imaginary hat to.

I should mention the Leprechaun Reveal feature that has the ability to trigger as many as 6 of the other ones. Look out for the Golden Leprechaun symbol because they will spin and reveal a prize of its own. In my case it was mostly instant cash prizes through a multiplier. Unfortunately not any big ones but at least you get to see what it looks like.

There’s a lot going on in this game, which is why I can recommend giving it a go. The graphics are crisp, features are many and depending on what you’re looking for, it might become one of your new favorites.

Swarming bees or normally something you’d want to stay away from but in the case of Wild Swarm 2, you’ll want to dive right in. Here’s a great looking game by Push Gaming and to stick to the theme, I can understand what the buzz is all about.

There are a couple of interesting features worth mentioning so let’s take a quick look.

Hearts Highway is one of those games that I will normally shut down as soon as I see the graphics. I guess they are trying to make the backdrop look like a classic gas station along the highway but it’s not really working.

The point of the game is basically to chase hearts and you can see right above the reels just how many of them you need in order to win. I managed to pull off 6 hearts at the most, paying out 10x.

You can get help from the strangest of places actually, which is cute I guess. I’m referring to the Slot Machine symbol which can appear on reels 1 or 5. When it does, it will spin 3 reels of its own and whatever hearts will show up there, will be added to your total and hopefully lead to a bigger win than what you expected. 

Hearts Highway is an interesting concept and a way to make a fruit machine more exciting. Yes, the feature does help making it better but no, this is not a game for me.

10 Swords

The title sounds like it could be the name of a Hollywood action movie but we’ll settle for a slot. My initial thought was that it looks quite minimalistic but I’m not sure why, considering it takes up as much room on the screen as most other games.

There is a Free Spin feature and you need 3 of the big shield symbols to trigger it. However, considering the game is called 10 swords, let’s focus on the sword symbol. 

Swords are in play in both the base game as well as during Free Spins. Do you see the meter on the left? Whenever you land at least 4 swords, you will get paid. I managed to land 6 of them at the most that pays 10x but if you can get 10 of them, 5,000x is coming your way.

Overall

The fact that you can score 12 Free Spins and a modifier that can get you additional Free Spins during play, sounds like 10 Swords should be a great game if you ask me. However, for some reason I wasn’t impressed. It felt a bit lame for whatever reason but maybe it will be better the second time. Let’s just say the jury is still out on this one.

The action in Triassic Town is controlled by the Dino PD and they’re doing a good job keeping the streets clean. I enjoy the concept of Dino PD and all of the quirky characters but as a game it feels a bit slow.

It says the volatility is Medium/High but when I was playing it felt like it was Very High and not necessarily in the way you might think. I’m referring to the fact that it was very hard to score any wins, even of the smaller kind. 

Not only did it seem frustratingly difficult to win, but it seemed impossible to get to the bonus round as I could never seem to get more than 2 scatters.

If you do make it to the bonus round, there is a gamble feature to deal with first. You can take a chance and gamble for more Free Spins, which I did, but of course I scored a big fat zero and lost the spins I had. Just my luck!

Clearly I had a bad experience and whether it reflects correctly or not on the game, it was still my experience. The max payout is 10,000 which isn’t bad but I had high hopes going into this game, only to have my dreams and heart broken. I’m exaggerating slightly of course but unfortunately Dino PD just lost out on a player.

Overall

The gigantic grid really works for me and something I prefer. In the beginning it was challenging to fill the Jar Meter all the way but once you do, it’s smooth sailing from there. It’s a fun game and it feels quite light hearted so I think you’ll have a good time.
