I can’t put my finger on it but it feels like something’s missing. Not only does the screen feel unnecessarily empty but there’s just not enough action in the game to keep me wanting to come back for more.

Normally I would say that soccer games or sports games in general do not translate well to slots. Penalty Shootout Street however caught me slippin’ because let me tell you, this game is addictive. If you are a sports fan like me, I think you’ll be able to relate.

Overall

It’s such a simple game and it might as well be a normal game for your phone. This is one of the few times I’ve enjoyed playing a sports game as a “slot” but yes, I admit it, I was stuck and had a really hard time stopping.

Overall

I was surprised how “lame” I found the bonus round to be. Yes, I barely landed a single winning combination which of course affected my opinion on it but still.

Not being able to activate a turbo or quick spin, as mentioned in the beginning, can at times make me shut down the game. If I feel things are running too slow after just a few spins, I’m out, and it did bother me in the Goddess of the Night. 

There are a lot better games out there, even from Evoplay themselves.

Overall

It may sound harsh but I wouldn’t waste my time on this one. Neon Capital Bonus Buy feels extremely boring and an all neon theme isn’t exactly what I’m looking for in a game. However, this is of course a personal preference and there may be lots of other players out there that this game is perfect for, but it’s a no for me.

Overall

I caught myself focusing a lot on the graphics as I was playing. It’s a great distraction and there was a lot to look at. As far as the game goes, it’s not bad at all. It felt like all the excitement in the base game came from the wild attacks only, as the rest was quite slow.

Moving into the red bonus round gives you a nice change of scenery but unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of action in the bonus round. I can see X-Demon Bonus Buy becoming quite popular among a certain demographic.

1. Bloody Brilliant

Bloody Brilliant was released in June 2021 – and it is bloody brilliant indeed! This one is for the hoodlums and the thieves. Just kidding, it’s for everyone – but that’s the theme. Symbols appear as either jewels or an image of one of the four thief characters in the game.

There are 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 paylines. Right at the top of the screen, you’ll notice an extra 1×1 reel which will randomly display either a new jewel or thief symbol with every new round. This bonus reel works along with the bonus features in this game – which we’ll get to shortly.

Winning combinations are formed by landing 3 or more identical symbols on a winning payline on adjacent reels. The game also features a Wild symbol which will substitute for all paying symbols in the game. 

Bonus features include the Golden Time feature, the Jewels Hunt feature, and the Free Spins feature. Each of these features are related to a function performed by the bonus reel at the top of the screen.

When a thief symbol appears in the bonus reel at the top, the Golden Time feature can be triggered. When this happens, all corresponding thief symbols on the reels will be bordered with a golden frame and will also become Wild symbols which can form new winning combinations.

If a jewel symbol appears in the bonus reel, the Jewels Hunt feature could be triggered, but this will only happen in a non-winning spin. You’ll come across this bonus feature a lot more often than the Golden Time feature, as there are more jewel symbols appearing on the bonus reel than thief symbols.

When the feature triggers, all jewel symbols on the reels that correspond to the jewel symbol on the bonus reel will vanish from the reels, creating open spaces for new symbols to drop in, this could lead to a potentially winning combination. If a winning combo does indeed form from the new symbols dropping in, the payout will be multiplied by the number of jewel symbols that were removed from the reels.

For example, if a green jewel appears on the bonus reel and there are 4 green jewel symbols on the main reels, the 4 symbols would disappear from the reels and new symbols would take their empty spaces. If a winning combo forms with the new symbols, the payout will be multiplied by 4x, because 4 corresponding jewel symbols were removed.

The third and final bonus feature is the Free Spins. This bonus game is triggered when a Fake Stone symbol appears from underneath one of the jewel symbols during the Jewels Hunt feature after they are removed from the reels. If the Fake Stone symbol appears, you’ll receive 10 free spins.

During free spins, you’ll need to try and successfully execute the “Tricky Plan” to obtain the Real Stone. This feature consists of four stages which must be completed sequentially 1 by 1. You’ll need to steal 6 identical jewel symbols to complete the stage, and all 6 jewels must be collected within a single spin.

I thoroughly enjoyed this slot, to be honest. The Bonus Reel is such a versatile feature and has so many possible applications. I wish Evoplay would develop it as one of their signature features like BTG’s Megaways, but hopefully, we’ll see this Bonus Reel playing a part in future releases.

At the time of conducting this review, Fruit Super Nova 40 was the newest slot release from Evoplay. It’s the new and improved version of Fruit Super Nova, which was released in January this year, and is almost identical to its famed predecessor.

2. Treasure Mania

Treasure Mania is a fun-loving slot released in 2020, which has gained much popularity ever since – probably due to the hair-raising bonus game which is as entertaining as they come! 

Are you ready to meet Warf? He’s the gold-mining dwarf in Treasure Mania, and he’s ready to take you on a ride you’ll never forget. But before he does, let’s take a look at the mechanics of the game before you get lost in his treasure-filled mine.

Enter the game to find yourself looking down on the 5 reels from above, at Warf’s goldmine in what Evoplay calls the “perilous Badlands of the West.” There are 3 rows and 20 paylines with winning combinations formed by landing 3 identical symbols on adjacent reels on a payline.

The bet adjustments, spin button, and game menu are the same as almost every other Evoplay slot, and I like this. The layout of these settings and adjustments is easy to navigate and it seems the provider has created a standard, yet very user-friendly virtual button panel.

Your first look at the reels. Notice the chicken walking around on the right – sometimes it will give a fright and stare you straight in the eye!

Symbols appear inside the mining carts on the reels – which look like railway tracks. When you spin, the symbols on the reels will move down into the caverns at the bottom of the screen, and new symbols will be carted in from the top.

I absolutely love this slot. It has HD graphics and works smoothly on any device. The theme is totally out of this world, and Evoplay has conjured up a nice little story to go with this one. 

There’s even a short introduction video as you enter the slot, which I suggest you watch, as it’s just what you need to get in the mood for this hilarious game. Treasure Mania has medium volatility and a 96% RTP, so pretty standard among Evoplay slots, but there’s nothing “standard” about this game at all.
