When reviewing casinos, I always give their Live Chat a go to see what the experience is like. This time though, I was beaten to the punch! 

I’d just registered, and was browsing through the deposit and withdrawal methods (as these aren’t listed anywhere on the site), when I heard a notification sound and saw an animation on my browser. Turns out the support team had “seen” me milling about, seemingly confused or just taking a long time to make a deposit, and reached out to help! 

I haven’t encountered such a thing before and was pretty impressed.

Of course the big test would be to see if their staff are knowledgeable and responsive. I had a bunch of questions because there is definitely a lack of information on Wild Tokyo. 

My Live Chat person was very friendly, responded quickly and when he needed to check something, he gave me a heads up. He answered all of my questions and left me feeling that he knew what he was on about. You can select either Russian or English as your preferred language for Live Chat.

Considering Wild Tokyo is only three-and-a-bit months old, I’d say they’ve done well in terms of training their support staff and creating touchpoints that customers can use at any time. 

My suggestion would be that they look at including social media touchpoints in the future, as this will round out their offering nicely. 

5. Deposits, withdrawals and security

Deposits
There are only 3 types of currencies accepted by Wild Tokyo Casino, and all of them are crypto. These are Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).

They say that they are currently not accepting fiat deposits but that they’re “working on it”. The suggestion is that you convert your fiat currency to crypto and make a deposit from one of their crypto payment systems.

Now, my concern is that nowhere on the site is this mentioned. I only found out because, as a reviewer, I bounced some questions off their support team. When you register and look at the deposit and withdrawal methods, you’d automatically assume that you can pay in fiat currency as you can deposit via Visa / Mastercard, AstroPay, MiFinity, Sticpay, Skrill or Neteller.

The withdrawal time is said to be 24 hours after verification. E-wallets can take 0-24hrs, credit card take 3-5 working days, and bank transfer will require 3-5 working days.

In terms of withdrawal limits, Wild Tokyo has this set at a disappointing €400 per transaction (or equivalent). Thankfully, their monthly withdrawal amount is better, at €10,000 (or equivalent) but it’s still not great. The minimum withdrawal amount is €20 (or equivalent). 

Security
Wild Tokyo Casino states on their website that they will: “… provide you with a reliable gaming algorithm that produces independent outcomes, otherwise known as a Random Number Generator.” In addition to the RNG, the casino also uses 256-bit SSL encryption security to keep your data safe. Lastly, their website is audited by the government of Curacao (which is the licensing authority). 

6. Conclusion

Wild Tokyo say that they’re pitching their website as techno-punk and futuristic but I do dispute this claim. As far as I can tell, only the main banner image has a Tokyo-esque feel to it. On no other page will you see this theme carried out so from a design and marketing perspective, I feel that they’ve not only failed but missed an opportunity.

Case in point: go to the Promotions page and you’ll see, not images of modern Japan or its capital city, but geishas and dragons. Go to the Shop though, and you’ll find visuals that look like neon renderings that are completely the opposite.  

Wild Tokyo is clearly pushing for people to register with them, as one of the first things you see when landing on their homepage, is the registration / login element. Signing up was quick, though. You’ll be asked to input your name and surname, email address, physical address, gender and mobile phone number. 

In terms of information, the site appears to have a lot but reading through the About Us, I was struck by the fact that all of these words said very little. I was left with a slew of questions which is not ideal. Add to this the fact that nowhere on the site did they mention that they only accept cryptocurrency (and only 3 variants, mind you) and you’re looking at potentially annoying your customers. 

Wild Tokyo does offer a decent selection of games (some 2,500) from reputable software partners. These cover many different categories so you’ll be sure to find something that appeals. Having played a few, I can attest to the fact that the game play is slick and pleasing; no matter what device you’re on.

Credit where it’s due; they’ve done a good job setting things up in such a short timeframe. The upsides are a wealth of games to suit every need, good support, and attractive Welcome Package and Deposit (and other) Bonuses.

The downsides are the inability to deposit fiat currency, the lack of cryptocurrency options, the many restricted territories and the dismal withdrawal limits. 

Our advice? If you’re a player who already uses Bitcoin, Ether or Litecoin then Wild Tokyo Casino could work for you. If you’re a fiat player, and the thought of converting your cash to crypto is a horror you’d rather avoid, then maybe it’s best to sit tight until this issue gets resolved.
