To say that Red Dog Casino’s game catalog is smaller than average would be quite an understatement. I immediately noticed that all online slots and RNG games are from Real Time Gaming and the very limited live dealer selection comes from Visionary iGaming. Currently, you will not find any games from any other provider at this casino, and I find that rather disappointing. 

Live casino fans may be disappointed

In the live casino area, you will find only blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. There are no exciting variants like Side Bet City and no casino game shows like Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt to be found. In fact, if table games are your preference, this is probably not the casino for you. 

That being said, I did take the time to test out various games from each section of the casino. Here are some brief reviews on each game I tested in each area.

Game #1: Count Cashtacular by RTG

This game feels rather dated in both its graphics and gameplay to many players. If you enjoy making the same suit side bet in blackjack, this is the game for you. But otherwise, this game is probably a pass for most of us.

This was my first time playing a live casino game from VIG. You can tell by looking at the image here that the graphics and studio are not as high of a caliber as you will find at other providers like Pragmatic Play and Evolution. If arcade-style games are your type of game, Red Dog’s got you covered

Fish Catch can be found in the “Specialty Games” section at Red Dog. This is an under-the-sea arcade-style shooting casino game. The goal is to shoot as many fish as possible; the bigger the fish, the bigger the prize. While I found this game enjoyable at first, each shot is worth one wager and very quickly depletes your bank. Unless you really have some disposable income to play these types of games, this one might be a pass for many players.

I originally could not find email support listed on their site and eventually had to do a Google search to find it. I also could not find an FAQ page on the site until I googled for it. Red Dog’s FAQ page can be located here. However, I will say that it is nice to see an online casino that still offers phone support. That is a rare treat these days.

If you read the bonus section, you’ll see that I contacted customer support via their live chat service to ask about the bonus on Run Rabbit, Run. I was immediately connected to a customer support agent. You will need to verify your account with both your username and email address before chatting with the agent, which I found odd since I was logged into my account.

When we first started chatting, it felt like our communication was getting crossed with my inquiry, so I made sure to send a snapshot of what I was discussing. You can see the agent’s response below.

I appreciated the fact that the agent took the time to go into the system and check on the wagering requirements so that I could have an accurate answer to my question. I also felt reassured by their follow-up, letting me know they would report it to other people on their team to look into the possible discrepancy. 6. Deposits, Withdrawals, and Security

There is a transaction time of up to 15 minutes for all crypto deposits, with a $20 minimum and no deposit limits. 

Interestingly enough, Red Dog lists Bitcoin as the only withdrawal method for crypto players. There is also a very long transaction time listed of 1-3 business days, a withdrawal minimum of $150, and a very low withdrawal max limit of $2,500. While I find the withdrawal limits to be very odd, I find the transaction time on them to be egregious. I am used to crypto transactions being instantaneous, but that is not the case at this casino. 

The casino’s site states that we can be assured that any personal information shared is “protected by cutting-edge security technologies, including, but not limited to, 256-Bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, various premium anti-viral suites, and fraud-prevention systems.”

7. Final Thoughts

When it comes to evaluating Red Dog Casino, I’m left with rather a mixed bag. When we look at the bonuses, we see that they offer a lot of various bonuses to cater to different types of players, including a pretty decent crypto bonus. However, many of these bonuses come with very high wagering requirements, making them much less valuable than they appear at face value. On the other hand, the spins-only bonuses have much lower wagering requirements attached and could provide slots players with a better deal. 

The game selection here is rather dismal, with all games coming from only two game providers, RTG and VIG. Having been around since 2019, I would have expected to have seen Red Dog expand its game library by a lot more than this by now. There are no crash games here, and I did not see any areas highlighting provably fair games.

Finally, the user experience of the site is hindered by not being able to locate simple things such as the FAQ page, the email address for the site, or the license for the casino. These are normal things that should be easy to find at any top crypto casino. And let’s not forget those long withdrawal times…

In the end, do I recommend Red Dog to our players? If you are looking for some decent deposit spins bonuses, then yes. These bonuses could be worth the investment if done right. But overall, this casino has a lot of work to do before I can rank it amongst the upper echelon of casinos.
