Cryptocurrency is the future and the Mayor is doing his very best to help secure a bright future for his people.
Looking Out for Their Best Interest
Ambition is good and when it is about helping people, it’s even better. The citizens living in the small city of Cool Valley, Missouri, must have done something right as they have someone in charge who is actually looking out for their best interest.
It was in a recent TV-interview where Mayor Jayson Stewart shared his vision of improving the economy for all of Cool Valley residents by giving out Bitcoin. Stewart doesn’t just want to help them make some money, he wants to make them wealthy.
Funds Are on Their Way
Already raising funds towards making his dream become reality, Stewart says that he hopes to put bitcoin into the hands of the people.
“It’s digital gold. I would like to see every single household in my city receive some level of bitcoin, whether it be $500 or $1,000.“
Referring to himself as an entrepreneur and environmentalist, the Mayor says he has witnessed the transformation with his own eyes and strongly believes it would work.
“I have friends whose lives have been completely changed, like going from working a regular nine to five job to being worth over 80 million dollars in a matter of a few years,”
Investors Are Already Onboard
For the plans to become reality, large funds are needed but Mayor Stewart says he’s already on the ball and that most of the money will come from unnamed investors.
“I have some very supportive donors who have agreed to match any money that I raise up to several millions of dollars. I’m trying to get a few government funds as well to go along with that, or potentially some of the relief money that comes in from the Covid relief.”
A Plan to Be Put in Place
Normally we would ask what the catch is but there doesn’t seem to be one, at least not an apparent one. However, in order to maximize the return for his people, Stewart wants them to hold on to their crypto instead of selling and has a plan in mind to make that happen.
“We’re putting in place, like, a vesting schedule for bitcoin. The idea is that maybe you don’t touch it for five years before you really get full access to it. We’re working on ideas like that because that’s my number one concern. If someone just sells their bitcoin to pay their car note, and then when bitcoin is sitting at like $500,000 all these years later, they’re going to really regret that.”
Educating People on Cryptocurrency
As a nice gesture to improve the knowledge of cryptocurrency among the residents, the city would offer free classes on the subject. If Stewart gets his way and is able to get the ball rolling, he would like to do so by the end of the year.
We applaud the initiative and are very curious to see the outcome of it all.
