The Asian game of Pachinko dates all the way back to the 1920’s and 30’s. However, it wasn’t until its first appearance on the popular American TV-show The Price is Right in 1983 that the game became popular in the Western world. By then, it had been renamed to Plinko.
Who knew that after all these years, not only would Plinko become an online casino game, but it’s also getting more and more popular each week. Today, you can find Plinko at a lot of your favorite casinos, including some of the most popular crypto casinos.
If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It
For being such an old game, it’s interesting to see that besides having made the transition to online gaming, the game itself has stayed pretty much the same.
Where Can I Play Plinko?
If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of watching the disc/ball bouncing around on its way down the pyramid and into the pockets, you are in for a treat. But where’s the best place to play Plinko? Well, let’s find out.
How to Play
Before I get into my favorite spots for Plinko, let’s quickly run through the point of the game.
First of all there’s no skills involved and the outcome of the game is completely random. The point of the game is to drop the ball or disc at the very top and follow its journey as it bounces from peg to peg before finally settling down in a pocket at the bottom.
Each of the pockets comes with a multiplier that equals the payout you will be receiving. These multipliers may range from 0.10x all the way up to 1,000x, sometimes even more. Playing online will allow you to set the level of difficulty which alters the size of the multipliers.
If your bet is €10 and the pocket has a 2x multiplier, your win is €20. Should it land on a 0.3x multiplier, you will “win” €3.00.
All the Rules Explained
This is just the very basics of the game and depending on where you play and what version, the game may vary slightly, especially in terms of multipliers. However, each site and each Plinko will have all the rules explained.
1) Bitslot
If you like to have options, there’s no better place for this than Bitslot.io. Plinko is Plinko but Bitslot actually has as many as 4 different versions in the portfolio.
- Plinko
- Plinko XY
- Plinko X
- Turbo Plinko
I will take you through the numbers of the first 3 because the one that sticks out is the Turbo version and I will save that for last.
Plinko XY – BGaming
In this version you can easily adjust both the number of lines as well as the Risk Level. Lines range from 8 to 16, which I would say is the norm, and I would recommend trying different ones to see which one you prefer the most.
Level – Low
At the Low level , the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 5.6x
- 16 Rows – 16x
Level – Normal
At the Normal level, the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 13x
- 16 Rows – 110x
Level – High
At the High level , the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 29x
- 16 Rows – 1,000x
Plinko X – Smartsoft
This version only has one level and you can choose whether or not you want to use a Turbo to speed things up. If you can get the ball to land in the outer pockets, it will always result in a juicy 1,000x multiplier win.
Autoplay
Allowing the game to play for you is always easier. If you feel like sitting back and having a cup of coffee while Plinko X takes care of business, you can set it at as many as 10,000 spins.
That sounds like way too many spins for my taste but who knows, there are probably players out there that would do it. How about you?
Plinko – BGaming
Level – Low
At the Low level , the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 5.6x
- 16 Rows – 16x
Level – Normal
- 8 Rows – 13x
- 16 Rows – 110x
Level – High
- 8 Rows – 29x
- 16 Rows – 1,000x
Turbo Plinko – Turbo Games
Until today, I wasn’t aware that there is a sci fi version called Turbo Plinko. Not only does it include the obvious Turbo, but it also allows you to drop between 5 and 10 discs at a time.
As far as multipliers go, this is what you’re looking at:
Risk – Low
At the Low level , the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 5.7x
- 16 Rows – 22x
Risk – Medium
- 8 Rows – 13x
- 16 Rows – 120x
Risk – High
- 8 Rows – 26x
- 16 Rows – 1,000x
Keep an Eye on Your Bet Size
You can see how you can set bet size, rows and how many discs you want simultaneously. This makes it a lot more fun but also increases your total bet of course. Don’t forget – If you bet €1 and drop 10 of them, your bet for that particular spin is then €10.
2) BitStarz
A lot of crypto casinos have created their own original version of Plinko and BitStarz is one of them.
High Risk High Reward
Not only does the multiplier change depending on the level of risk you decide to play with. Since you are also able to adjust the number of rows, this will also make a difference on how much you can win.
Level – Easy
Looking at the Easy level (above image), the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 5.1x
- 16 Rows – 16x
Level – Medium
Looking at the Medium level, the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 12.7x
- 16 Rows – 110x
Level – Hard
Looking at the Hard level, the highest multiplier is:
- 8 Rows – 28x
- 16 Rows – 1,000x
Provably Fair
If you want to make sure there’s nothing shady going on, you can check that the game is fair through the Provably Fair technology.
3) Winz.io
Not all casinos have their own version but that doesn’t mean you can’t play the game. Winz.io for example offers a basic version of Plinko, the same version which you can find at Cloudbet as a matter of fact.
Provably Fair
Just like at BitStarz, you can make sure the game is Provably Fair. Even if you do trust the casino, it can sometimes be interesting to check and see how it actually works.
Back to Basics
It’s tricky to call a version basic because the game in itself is VERY basic, so let’s just say that the Winz.io version has a different look than most of the others.
Maximum Multiplier
In the end it all comes down to the multipliers so let’s continue our comparison. At Winz.io you can only choose from 10, 12 or 14 rows, which doesn’t give you as many options as for example at BitStarz where it’s 8-16.
Also, all 3 levels are always displayed underneath.
Level – Green
Looking at the Green level, the highest multiplier is:
- 12 Rows – 11x
- 16 Rows – 35x
Level – Yellow
Looking at the Yellow level, the highest multiplier is:
- 12 Rows – 25x
- 16 Rows – 118x
Level – Red
Looking at the Red level, the highest multiplier is:
- 12 Rows – 141x
- 16 Rows – 555x
4) Stake.com
If you remember BitStarz having created its own original Plinko game, so has Stake. If you have ever seen the first video game called Pong, you probably realize that for games like this, it’s not at all about the actual graphics.
For slots, I believe graphics are super important but not for Plinko. I’m sure there will be more advanced versions coming up but so far a basic look gets the job done.
Set the Lines
You can see how easy it is to set the number of lines you want to play with. It will always be easiest to play with just 8 but if you can learn to appreciate 16, it’s more fun.
Risk – Low
- 8 Rows – 5.6x
- 16 Rows – 16x
Risk – Medium
- 8 Rows – 13x
- 16 Rows – 110x
Risk – High
- 8 Rows – 29x
- 16 Rows – 1,000x
It’s All Legit
You won’t have any problems making sure the game play is legit at Stake, thanks to Provably Fair.
5) Bc.Game
Another casino with an original version is Bc.Game and you can see the design in the image above. The game itself has the same multipliers as the majority of the ones mentioned above but it’s still interesting to see if and how it varies from any other in terms of looks.
All the games are as straightforward as it gets and Bc.Game will of course allow you to change Risk and Rows to your preference.
Master the Game of Plinko
As mentioned in the beginning, you can always find all the rules within the actual game. Do you prefer simple or turbo, high or low risk, basics or sci fi? Don’t be afraid to try a few of them, play with both levels and lines, to see which one you like the most.
Good luck!
