The half-man, half-God, known as Tiki first came from the Maori tribe and the Polynesian culture. Today, its popularity has grown all over the world and is not even a rare sight on slot reels, which we are very thankful for of course.
Giant, Smiling Faces
Quickfire has put its magical powers to the test in its latest release, carrying the very cool name – Tiki Tiki Boom. Can these giant, smiling faces bring you both fame and fortune, while at the same time be entertaining?
It’s a tough task but I think Tiki Tiki Boom is up for the challenge. Let’s find out!
Exotic Slot Entertainment
Being whisked away to an exotic island, if only for a little while, is a reward in itself. The colorful setting of Tiki Tiki Boom clearly knows how to set the mood. I would say it’s somewhere between trying to get the waiter’s attention for the next round of cocktails and being shipwrecked on a deserted island.
Big symbols in bright colors work really well and make such a difference. Nice job!

3..2..1.. Wild Boom!
With the word boom in the title, you can’t help but suspect there will be explosives laying around. It all takes place in the barrel on the left. Any spin can send mini barrel tokens to be collected in the barrel.
This will make the barrel explode at any random moment, resulting in up to as many as 15 wilds landing on your reels. This can of course lead to a nice, big payout!
How to Buy Tiki Tiki Spins
As you know, I’m a fan of the Bonus Buy option and Tiki Tik Boom is kind enough to allow one to exist. This means you’re always just a click away from entering the bonus round if you feel that you can spare or risk a couple of bucks.
How To Get to the Bonus Round
If you don’t feel like paying, you can always take the old school route and land 3 scatters. Don’t expect a “regular” bonus round because this one is a little different, which is nice to see. Known as a Link&Win feature, you are in for a treat.
Upsizer Options
When triggered, you get to choose to activate guaranteed feature modifiers for an extra cost. The Upsizers do seem a little expensive if you ask me but if you’re up for it, go ahead. I did however stick to the basics and simply clicked on the start button on the left.
Tiki Tiki Boom Bonus Round
As you can see in the image above, it’s a completely different look. How it works reminds you of a Hold & Spin in a way, but at the same time there’s more to it. You will start off with 3 respins and every time you land a symbol, your count will reset.
Bonus Round Modifiers
The symbols that are trickling down as you play, are either coins, blanks or any of the multiple modifiers involved:
- Silver Coin – Up to 7x multipliers
- Gold Coin – Will give you multipliers above 7x
- Collector – Collects and combines all coins into 1
- Adder – Can add up to 20x multiplier to every coin
- Persistent Adder – Same as above but will do it on every spin
- Splitter – Splits random coins into double or quad coins
- Key – Removes a lock from the rows above
- Tiki Bomb – Will blow away any remaining lock and add more coins
- Doubler – Doubles the value of random coins.
As you can see, there are a lot of modifiers, making the bonus round even better. If you manage to fill up all the reels, you can expect a juicy 2,000x multiplier!
Gamble for Bigger Wins
If we’re being honest, there’s rarely (never?) a win that is big enough but thanks to the Gamble option you can make them bigger. This one is a little trickier though as it’s not your typical card guessing game.
With the + and – signs, you can increase or decrease your chances of winning. You will see the difference between the red and green area. When the arrow starts to spin, you want it to stop on green in order for you to win.
Two Shots – Zero Wins
If it lands on the red field, then you will lose and your winnings are gone. I gambled twice during my test run and lost both times. I literally struck out twice and yes, it sucked!
Tiki Tiki Boom – Pass or Play?
I really enjoyed this game, despite my bad luck. The visually pleasing graphics make the game very appealing to at least try. Thanks to exploding barrels and a very interesting bonus game, players have a lot to look forward to when coming to Tiki Tiki Boom.
Be aware that you might be smiling as big as the Tiki when you’re done!
You can find out for yourself by playing the game at Kryptosino, Arlekin and BitStarz among others.
Enjoy!
