Quickfire, Evoplay and Iron Dog have released their holiday games for the year. Don’t miss my review and where to play them.
Santa Is on His Way
Christmas is coming and so are the Christmas slots. Monday’s are always tough, especially this time of year but what better way to start off a new week than with some fresh new Christmas games.
I’ve taken a closer look at the latest holiday releases from Quickfire, Evoplay and Iron Dog. What do I think of them? Keep reading and I will tell you all about them.
1) Piles of Presents – Quickfire
Let’s start off with the lights shining brightly in front of the Christmas tree by taking a look at Piles of Presents by Quickfire. The name itself sounds like a childhood dream, doesn’t it?
The lights might be bright but what shines the brightest is the Christmas Wheel. Will you be lucky enough to get a spin on it and a chance to snag a jackpot or two? Fingers crossed, my friend, but in the meantime, here’s the game data.
RTP: 96.17%
Paylines: 20
Multiplier: 5,000x
Volatility: High
Trust the Casino Gods
We all want a shot at the wheel but the way there is as always in the hands of the casino Gods. What you can do to improve your chances is to collect as many Christmas Tokens (the holly symbol) as possible. This will get you a random shot at triggering a spin at the Christmas Wheel.
Welcome to the Christmas Wheel
If you do please the Gods and they decide to grant you a shot at the wheel, you can win one of 4 jackpots in cold hard cash!.
- Mini – 15x
- Minor – 40x
- Major – 250x
- Mega – 5,000x
Santa’s Free Spins
Yes, even though the wheel is the main attraction, Santa is still generous enough to give out to Free Spins as well. If you land at least 3 Santa symbols, you will get 6 spins.
Your first Free Spins will start off with a 1x multiplier so keep the wins coming and watch the multipliers and winnings grow even more.
Verdict
Piles of Presents isn’t perhaps the most fun Christmas slot I’ve played but a Wheel of Fortune is always intriguing and even though I didn’t get a chance to spin it this time, it doesn’t mean it won’t happen next time.
With that said, the big question is if there will even be a next time and the way I’m feeling about it after just having played, I’m not I’ll go back.
You can find Piles of Presents at Cloudbet and BitStarz among other casinos.
2) Treasure-Snipes Christmas – Evoplay
I thought I knew what the criterias were for a Christmas game but I guess I was wrong. Apparently you can go with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme and just throw a Santa hat on the skull, pin a ribbon on the bonus symbol and voila – call it Treasure-Snipes Christmas.
April Fools
You can decide for yourself but after playing it, I feel cheated. I have a sense of Evoplay pulling an April fools prank on me, and that’s all because of the many times I was tricked into believing I had triggered the bonus round.
RTP: 96.18%
Paylines: 20
Multiplier: 4,600x
Volatility: High
I Took a Pie to the Face
Perhaps it’s my own fault though for not checking beforehand but I thought collecting 3 or maybe 4 Bonus symbols would do the trick but nope. I was pied several times, thinking this is it.
Landing 3 scatters would have triggered 8 Free Spins, but I never managed to get that done. Little did I know I needed at least 6(!) Bonus symbols to get to the Bonus game.
Bonus Game
Finally, I landed as many as 10 Bonus symbols and you can see it all in the image above. The Bonus game can get you a bunch of money symbols or what do you think of this:
- 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x or Mini, Mega and Super Jackpot
Win A Jackpot
If you are thinking about scooping up a Jackpot, this is how much they are worth:
- Mini – 75x
- Mega – 150x
- Super – 500x
- Grand – 4,000x
You need to fill all 12 positions to open the Grand Reel. This is where you can win the Grand Jackpot!
Verdict
To stick to the theme, I’m ready to have Treasure-Snipes Christmas walk the plank. I had high hopes for this game going in but man, was I in for a rude awakening. If you’re going to intrude on the Christmas theme, which has nothing to do with the actual game, at least make it a good one.
Of course, on a lucky day, you would be able to get both Free Spins as well as the Bonus game and maybe even a spin at the Grand Reel. Today wasn’t it for me but still, I’m not a big fan of this game and think I’ll stick to proper Christmas games going forward.

3) Merry Megaways – Iron Dog
Ok, so let’s see what Iron Dog Santa has in store for us in the new Merry Megaways slot. In contrast to the previous game, this plays out in a proper Winter Wonderland.
Being a Megaways game, you can prep for up to 200,704 paylines!
RTP: 95.90%
Paylines: Up to 200,704
Multiplier: 20,000x
Volatility: High
Tick, Tick…BOOM!
Please remind me not to get on Santa’s bad side because this guy LOVES to blow things up! As soon as you land a winning combo, the symbols involved will explode and disintegrate and it is a real explosion, let me tell you. The empty positions will then of course be filled with new symbols and your winnings will increase even more.
As if this wasn’t enough. I think Santa just gets bored at times because at random, he can decide to throw out some fairy dust onto the reels and BOOM, here we go again!
If You Dare, There Are Free Spins
You’ll have to stick 4 scatters, you will trigger the Free Spins. I wasn’t able to do it unfortunately, but I really tried.
Verdict
I’m not sure what it says about a game when exploding symbols are the highlights of playing. Somehow it still made it a lot more fun than it would have been without them. No matter how you see it, the explosions mean you get another chance at increasing your winnings.
I wish I had gotten to see the bonus round even though I have a feeling it would be more of the same. No, it’s not a super exciting game but it’s not bad and definitely better than Treasure-Snipes Christmas and maybe even better than Piles of Presents.

Congratulations Iron Dog!
There’s Plenty More
Obviously these 3 games are only a few of the new Christmas games that are knocking on the door right now.
I will continue to review some of them here and there, leading up to the holidays but let me know if you agree with me or have any other thoughts regarding the ones in this article.
Good luck!
