Who doesn’t love an old classic Wild West shootout from time to time, I know I do. With the possibility of bullets flying anywhere you went, you could never let your guard down, especially if you had a reputation as a gunslinger.
Imagine these outlaws having social media back then? Bragging about who the baddest man was and who had the quickest gun in the West. Kind of like the current beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar I guess. What would be the Wild West version of a diss track?
Enter the Saloon of Bang Bang Reloaded
Despite the risk of catching stray bullets hanging out on the dusty streets, even staying indoors wasn’t safe, especially at a saloon. Maybe the combination of cowboys, guns and whiskey wasn’t the safest of situations but Booming Games is throwing it all in the mix in their latest release, the Bang Bang Reloaded slot.
Free Spins, Cascading Multipliers and a Big Shot Wheel
If you are as trigger happy as Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp and Jesse James, you could find yourself leaving the bar with quite a bit of cash in your pockets when it’s all said and done.
Booming is promising Free Spins, Cascading Multipliers and a Big Shot Wheel so I think it’s time for a visit, so let’s find out what Bang Bang Reloaded has to offer.
Clean Look With All Jackpots Fully Visible
Bang Bang Reloaded is a 5×4 slot with only 40 paylines, which always feels like a ripoff if you’re used to playing Megaways games, doesn’t it? While some providers sometimes allow for the backdrop to take over, Booming Games has made sure that’s not the case here.
All you really need is an idea of the setting and then let the reels speak for themselves, which Booming does a great job with.
The graphics are crisp and clean, and all you can really see in the background is stairs leading up to the rooms where “ all the magic happens.” At least that’s what I think is going on upstairs based on every single western movie I’ve ever seen.
I’ll cover the Jackpots and Multiplier features down below but it’s worth mentioning how they are all easy to spot as they are both out in the open instead of hidden somewhere. As far as the overall look goes, I think this is a good job by Booming Games.
Released: May 2024 | RTP: 95.70% | Variance: High |
Min Bet: 0.40 | Max Bet: 40.00 | Max Payout: 5,200x |
Cascading Reels With Multipliers
I realize that the screenshot makes it look like fireworks are going off but that’s not the case. Instead it’s the look of the Cascading Reels feature getting rid of some symbols for you. Any symbol that’s involved in a winning combination will get fired upon.
After leaving a fresh bullet hole, the symbols will be removed and replaced with new ones. With a bit of luck you can get another win and thereby another cascade.
You can keep track of your Multipliers above the reels and every successful cascade will also bring a Multiplier. These Multipliers will come in the following order: 1x, 2x, 3x and 5x in the base game.
The Big Shot Wheel Awaits
In order to trigger the Big Shot Wheel, which is clearly the main attraction in this game, you need to land and collect Wilds. For every Wild you get, your chances of triggering the Wheel. I wasn’t quite prepared for the fact that it only took TWO(!) spins for me to trigger it, which is insane.
Grand, Major or Minor Jackpot
Once it’s time to spin the wheel, there’s nothing you can do besides sit back and enjoy. Why? Because you have already won one of the Jackpots so no matter what happens, you’re looking at a nice payout.
The possible outcomes of the Big Shot Wheel are:
- Grand Jackpot – 5,000x
- Major Jackpot – 100x
- Minor Jackpot – 15x
Any guess which one I won? You are correct as I assume you guessed the Minor. That’s pretty much always the case so no surprise there.
How to Get Free Spins
Often when there’s a Wheel of Fortune feature involved, the game might not have Free Spins but lucky for all of us, Bang Bang Reloaded does. It takes 3 scatters to get things going and they can only land on reels 1, 3 and 5.
As soon as you land the first two scatters, the last reel will get a fire frame around it and two guns will come out and shoot at the symbols. It’s a pretty cool looking scene and hopefully you’re luckier than me because I never got that last scatter needed to get access to the bonus round.
5 Free Spins and Higher Multipliers
What I can say though is that when you get all 3 scatters, you will be awarded 5 Free Spins. During your Free Spins, your Multipliers are still in play but they have gotten a nice little boost.
Instead of the 1x, 2x, 3x and 5x… it now starts at 3x and will continue with 6x, 9x and 15x for each winning cascade.
Use the Buy Bonus
If you don’t feel like waiting for that last scatter to fall, you can turn to the Buy Bonus. The asking price is 70x your bet which I felt was a bit steep so I didn’t feel like coughing up $28 for a $0.40 bet.
It’s still only 5 Free Spins and it’s going to be a challenge even getting your money back at that rate.
Bang Bang Reloaded – Pass or Play?
There have been a few Wild West games released over the past 6 months or so but I haven’t found any of them to be any good. I’ve come across some fun ones over the years but I’m not sure what’s going on at the moment in the cowboy genre.
I applaud Booming Games for mixing in a Big Shot Wheel into the Bang Bang Reloaded scenario as I always believe these Wheel of Fortunes add a lot of appeal to a game. Because of the fact that I somehow triggered it on my second ever spin, I think I was sold right off the bat.
With that said, since I never go back to it again, I think the game lost a bit of its luster if that makes sense. I didn’t manage to trigger Free Spins either, which is always a bit of a downer. I did enjoy the graphic effects of the bullets being fired at the reels etc and with this many features in play, it should be a popular choice among players.
Was I very impressed by the game? Not really but it’s one of the better Wild West slots I’ve seen in a while and if you enjoy that particular theme, I’m sure you will like Bang Bang Reloaded as well.
