I had a great time watching the Olympics this year and there’s no doubt that there’s a special aura around it. You’ll end up watching events you wouldn’t otherwise watch and I’m already looking forward to the 2028 Olympics in LA.
It only makes sense that things die down a bit the weeks following the games but things are about to heat up once again. We’ve got the US Open Tennis to look forward to over the next couple of weeks and let’s not forget about the fact that Premier League football is back in business just last week.
As always, I’ll share my picks of the week with you guys and you will also find a couple of fun sports betting promotions worth considering at the end.

Considering they got SO close last season, I think they might be able to bring that extra motivation that will help them go all the way this time around. Plus, let’s be honest, it would be nice to see someone else win for once.

The world’s greatest tennis players are once again gathering in Queens, New York, for another showdown in this year’s US Open. As always, I expect spectacular tennis on the courts while A-list celebrities battling for the spotlight in the stands.
It’s incredibly tough to pick a winner this time around. Has Djokovic managed to recharge from his break after winning the Olympic gold in Paris? Can Alcaraz get his revenge from losing the Olympic final? How about Sinner and his latest debacle of being cleared to play despite having tested positive twice for prohibited substances?
You shouldn’t count out Alexander Zverev either or Daniil Medvedev who lost in last year’s final.
So what’s my final pick? Unless he’s too content after winning the Olympics, I actually think Mr Djokovic might pull it off again and scoop up his 25th(!) Grand Slam.
