Welcome back, sports fans! We have reached that time of the week again where we dive into the world of sports and even more so… the art of sports betting. After changing the concept last week and contributing with my Top Picks of the Week, the feedback has been great.
Until you decide otherwise, my plan is to continue down that road. BUT, I also intend to include a couple of good promotions each week that hopefully you’ll find useful.
Last Week’s Bets
First of all, let’s quickly run through last week’s bets and how they all played out. Considering all my NBA bets were Outrights and we won’t find out the results until the end of the season, we can ignore them.
NFL Week 9 – 100% Success Rate
Believe it or not, I was 100% in the NFL last week. Sure, I only picked two winners but they were far from guaranteed.
- Kansas City Chiefs vs Miami Dolphins (21-14) My pick: Chiefs
- Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys (28-23) My pick: Eagles
Both the Chiefs and the Eagles came through for me so hopefully you followed my advice and won some money!
Champions League Football – 50% Success Rate
Nailing 2 of 4 bets in the Champions League isn’t too bad after all. I also knew a couple of my picks were going to be tough. It’s a risk you’ll have to take if you want to play the higher odds and stay away from the clear favorites.
- Milan vs PSG (2-1) My pick: Draw
- Arsenal vs Sevilla (2-0) My pick: Arsenal
- Dortmund vs Newcastle (2-0) My pick: Draw
- Atletico Madrid vs Celtic (6-0) My pick: Atletico Madrid
I do regret not following my gut and bet on Copenhagen upsetting Manchester United (4-3). It would have been a gutsy bet but it’s such an adrenaline rush when they come through. It does after all come down to your budget and I never recommend going crazy and stick to calculated risks.
This Week’s Picks
1) UFC 295 – Pereira vs Procházka (November 11)
The UFC is bringing the show back to Madison Square Garden in New York City for UFC 295 this weekend. I know we were all looking forward to the battle between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic but due to Jones’ late injury, that fight is off the table.
A fight that is still happening though is the anticipated Light Heavyweight clash between Jiří Procházka and Alex Pereira.
This should be a great fight between two stand up fighters. Prochazka has been out of the game since June, 20222, because of a nasty injury. Will ring rust play a part on Saturday night?
Pereira on the other hand previously held the belt in Middleweight and is now taking the step up to Light heavyweight with all its challenges. He’s a spectacular Brazilian striker and with an interim title on the line, he’s coming to performa.
I love the creativity in Prochazka’s fighting arsenal but I think being away for that long with a serious shoulder injury will show. I mentioned ring rust earlier and we’ve seen it come into play for other fighters.
🥊My Pick – Alex Pereira 🥊

2) NHL 3-Game Parlay
The best hockey in the world continues in North America and it’s been an interesting season so far. It’s been great to see the two old power houses Red Wings and the Canucks getting off to a great start.
On a more surprising note, the BIG question is what’s going on in the city of Edmonton? The Oilers were going to take the next step and were a real contender to win it all this year and with Connor McDavid leading the troops, how could they not be. So far, they have won 2 out of 11 games and panic has arrived in Canada.
I’ve chosen 3 games for a hockey parlay:
🏒My Picks – Avalanche, Kings & Oilers 🏒

Why These Picks?
Yes, I still believe the Oilers can get the job done against the San Jose Sharks. Why? Because the Sharks are going through a rebuilding process and are even worse this year.
Colorado is looking great so far while Seattle has been surprisingly tame. The Penguins on the other hand haven’t been able to get the team clicking yet despite the addition of superstar Erik Karlsson. I think the LA Kings will be able to get another win at home.
How to Win €122
This parlay has a total odds of 6.10 which means you will win €122 on a €20 bet.
3) NFL Week 10
The NFL almost seems like a given during the season, considering how short the season is compared to the NHL and the NBA for example.
Week 10 happens to be a bye week for both the Chiefs and the Eagles so those teams are off the table. Normally I’d bet on both of them but this just means I have to pick out some other team.
🏈My Pick – Baltimore Ravens 🏈
🏈My Pick – Cincinnati Bengals 🏈
🏈My Pick – Buffalo Bills 🏈
As you can see, I went full home field advantage this time. This is the NFL and you never know what will happen, but I do feel quite secure in my choices.
If you want to make it into a parlay, it will payout €44.22 on a €20 bet.
