Champions League football and UFC 299 are the main attraction for this week’s sports betting action. As you know, football is one of the best and most popular sports to bet on and every time a big UFC event takes place, it brings a different crowd and style of betting.
I find them both appealing so I made sure to cover both this week.
Let’s go!
1) UEFA Champions League
We’ve got another 4 big Champions League games coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. This will decide the last 4 teams to move on to the Quarterfinals. Arsenal is in the fight for the Premier League title and have won 5 games in a row. Barcelona are having a mediocre La Liga season but can save face with a good finish in the Champions League.
Inter Milan is looking to take care of business in Madrid against Atlético while Borussia Dortmund should be able to finish off the on paper easier PSV.
This is the Champions League however and there are no guarantees. Underestimate your opponents and you will go home and face your angry fans with the tail between your legs.
Who can handle the pressure next week?
Barcelona vs Napoli
⚽ My Pick – Barcelona ⚽
Odds: 1.80
Arsenal vs FC Porto
⚽ My Pick – Arsenal ⚽
Odds: 1.22
Atlético Madrid vs Inter Milan
⚽ My Pick – Inter Milan ⚽
Odds: 2.45
Borussia Dortmund vs PSV
⚽ My Pick – Draw ⚽
Odds: 2.05
High Risk – High Reward
The biggest challenge for this round was the game in Madrid. It’s a tough game but I believe Inter Milan will get away with the win in Madrid. Adding it all up, the combined odds comes out at an appealing 11x at JustBit.io.
To give you an idea what kind of cash you can get from it, if you drop a subtle €20, you’ll be able to pocket a nice €220. If you’re a risk taker that’s looking for the bigger payouts, a €50 could end up getting you €551!
2) UFC 299 – O’Malley vs Vera
While the hype has been around the upcoming UFC 300, there’s a good card this weekend for UFC 299. Sugar Sean holds the Bantamweight title belt but a story from the past continues to haunt him. His only loss came against Vera in UFC 252 in 2020, when he suffered a dead leg after a Vera kick found a nerve.
On Saturday, Sugar will be looking to restore the order and show who’s the best.
Even though there are multiple fights with big names like Poirier and Saint Denis, the headliner is clearly gathering the most interest and I’m picking 3 different bets for that fight.
Sean O’Malley vs Marlon Vera
🥊 My Pick – O’Malley 🥊
Odds: 1.36
Sean O’Malley vs Marlon Vera
🥊 My Pick – O’Malley by Decision 🥊
Odds: 2.07
Sean O’Malley vs Marlon Vera
🥊 My Pick – Yes, the fight will go the distance 🥊
Odds: 1.74
Stake Odds and Payout
For UFC 299 action I opted for Stake and the combined odds for the above picks are 4.90x. My reason for the fight going the distance is the fact that Vera has never been finished or knocked out. I’d love to see it happen on Saturday but he’s as tough as they get and Sugar will have to be at his absolute best in order to knock him out.
A €20 bet pays €98 while €50 will get you €245.
