Ever since Gov. Sisolak closed all non-essential businesses back in March, the Las Vegas strip has sat uncharacteristically quiet.
But, as Gov. Sisolak agrees to relax the rules, more and more casinos from the Las Vegas strip are announcing their intentions to open the second the sanctions are lifted.
Great news for Vegas fans as normal service is set to resume on Thursday June 4!

Las Vegas is Coming Back to Life
As you’re reading this, casino employees are busy setting up the casino floors for the new measure in place to keep players safe.
There will be plexiglass installed at all operating tables and cashier desks, limited table action and only two players per bank of slots.
Back in May, the Nevada Gaming Control Board gave a set of regulations the green light to make way for the reopening of casinos.
In these regulations were detailed plans on how casinos will operate, and any casino wishing to open once more must satisfy the board based on these new regulations.
Get Ready to Tuck in
Aside from casino floors opening once more, there will be a number of restaurants firing up the grills so you can chow down in Sin City.
Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen will be opening at Caesars Palace on June 4, while the Stellar Steakhouse Bazaar Meat from Jose Andres will open a day later on June 5 – presumably to prepare for COVID-19 precautions.
If you prefer poolside cafes, you’re going to love the new poolside café that’s opening at The Venetian and Palazzo which will open for the first time on June 4.
Hotels have been using this mandatory closed period as the perfect time to carry out renovations and add in new features that patrons will love – something we can’t wait to see!
Will COVID-19 Resurface?
As Las Vegas comes back to life, many people are wondering whether COVID-19 will once again rear its ugly head and cause another lockdown in around the world.
For now, it’s way too early to tell, but other countries that have released lockdown have seen a growth in cases.
However, the casinos in Las Vegas are taking a whole host of precautions, including capping numbers and scrapping pool parties to try and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Whether these safety measures will work is yet to be seen, and there’s a chance that infection could spread rapidly in these huge casinos.
If case numbers do start to spike and casinos prove to be a hotspot for contacts, then there’s a good chance we will see this privilege being revoked.
If casinos are to close again, it could wreak havoc for casinos across the country, and bills such as the Chicago Casino stimulus package would fail to help casinos get up and running once more.
Will You Be Heading to Vegas?
Many international flights are still grounded, so we are expecting casinos in Las Vegas to be mostly full of locals.
It will be some time before the international markets begin flying in to Las Vegas, but if COVID-19 regression carries on, it might only be a handful of months before full normal service is resumed.
