I have to say that even with thousands of slots available, I think I may have stumbled upon a first. Slots featuring Ancient Egypt, Greek Mythology, Fruit, Animals and of course the ones with a Holiday theme are extremely common. We’ve been wrong all along because it’s not all about chopping down trees and building dams, no sir. I’m not sure I’ve seen one since Mr and Mrs Beaver helped save the kids from the evil White Witch of Narnia, but these Dam Beavers know how to put a smile on your face and are here to entertain.
Tag along and I’ll do my best to show you the ropes of the brand new slot release. Trust me, there’s a lot going on and it might not all make sense at once so hang in there.

Great Looking Game
Who knew beavers could look this cool? I wasn’t sure what to expect so when a red robe-wearing Hugh Hefner looking Beaver enters your screen, plus a few of his fun furry friends, I was caught off guard.
It’s a pretty basic looking game but thanks to the detailed graphics, it looks great and feels intriguing. I got an immediate good vibe from it and it’s definitely a fresh look, which I’m happy to see. Add to that the movement between levels and you have yourself a winner.

Multiple Modes and Multiple Levels
Dam Beavers is played in two types of modes. Normal mode and Bonus Mode with Free Drops. When you collect the right symbols, you will be jumping between the modes like a rabbit on Red Bull.
You will quickly find out that the 4 beavers, all collect fruit symbols on the floorboard but only in the same color as them. The beavers move around like chess pieces or perhaps more similar to Ms Pac-Man.

Keep an Eye on the Feature Meter
Above the grid, you’ll see a meter called the Feature Meter. It will keep track of the fruit you collect and you want to fill it up as quickly and often as possible. You will then unlock Feature Reward Cards, which are sitting at the end of the meter.
- Refresh Symbols (Green)
- Symbol Swap (Red)
- Wild Scatter (Blue)
These cards will help you score more points, adding Wilds and Scatters etc.

Additional Symbols That Will Help You Advance
Besides the fruits, there are other symbols that your Beaver friends will come across. They all add their own little twist but are all here to help.
- Blender – Will help max out your feature meter in an instant
- Fireworks – Your Beaver will light the fuse and the firework will upgrade symbols
- TNT – Use the explosions to expose more tiles
- Tunnel – This opens up a hole for the Beaver to escape in and pop up somewhere new.
- Coins – There are big coins hiding under the symbols. Reveal them and get paid!
Drop through the floor to a new level
How to Reach Multiple Levels
When you are clearing the board of fruit symbols, you will soon spot something hiding underneath. This is called the breaking point and it is 2×2 in size. When the breaking point is revealed, the floor will break and you will fall to the next level.

Bigger and Bigger
Each level comes with a bigger grid and bigger rewards than the previous one. There are 4 different levels:
- Floor Level 1 – 5×5 Grid
- Floor Level 2 – 6×6 Grid
- Floor Level 3 – 7×7 Grid
- Floor Level 4 – 8×8 Grid
It’s Beaver time
Beaver Night Fever
John Travolta might have gotten his moves from the beavers because it’s all about the disco when you clear all floorboards. This can happen on any of the first 3 levels but not the last one.
These beavers are full of surprises
During Beaver Night Fever, all pay symbols will be removed from the grid, only to be replaced by higher-level symbols (if possible). The symbols reset after the feature ends.

How to Snatch a Pie and Get to the Bonus Game
For some reason I thought the beavers, much like myself, were a bunch of pepperoni lovers. I did quickly (or at least somewhat) realize the bonus symbols are pies and not pizzas.
Trigger the Bonus Game
3 Will Get the Job Done
Just like the fireworks, the beavers can run into a bonus symbol along the way. The symbols are then collected and placed in the top left corner. You can see that it takes 3 of them to fill the meter and this will trigger the Bonus Game.
You will get 5 Free Drops (Free Spins) and whatever floor you’re on when triggering the Bonus Round, that’s where you’ll start.
There are multiple options
Put the X-iter Option to Use
ELK Studios has its own version of the Bonus Buy, called X-iter. As a player, I think it’s great and it gives you 5 different options. Just click on the X-iter button on your left and you will see exactly what they are:
- Bonus Hunt – Get a 4x greater chance at triggering the bonus round. Costs 3x your stake.
- Eager Beaver – One drop at Level 2 at the cost of 10x your bet.
- Dambuster – One drop starting at Floor 2 at the cost of 25x your bet.
- Bonus – Will guarantee a game round with entry to the bonus game at the cost of 100x your bet.
- Super Bonus – Guarantees a game round with entry to the bonus game The Super Bonus will cost you 500x your bet.

Dam Beavers by ELK Studios – Pass or Play?
As I mentioned in the beginning, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this game. Beavers being new to the game, ELK is taking a risk. Let’s just say it didn’t take long until I developed an appreciation for what the “Castor Canadensis” brought to the table because Dam Beavers is an exciting slot.
There’s no discussion from my end whether it’s a Pass or Play and I recommend giving these guys a chance to prove their skills on one level after another.
