NFL franchise New Orleans Saints and the McLaren F1 team are both exploring options outside of the norm by signing massive sponsorship deals with a casino and a crypto exchange.
The First Casino Named NFL Stadium
In 2011, Mercedes-Benz signed a 10-year deal for the naming rights to the Superdome arena, worth up to $60 million. As it is now about to expire, the giant car company has opted not to continue with their partnership with the New Orleans Saints of the NFL.
Leaving an opening for another major player to step up and take over, The Athletic is reporting that the team is now close to an agreement with Nevada-based Caesars Entertainment, Inc. This will make the Superdome the first NFL stadium named after a casino company.
Although nothing has been confirmed from either parties, according to reports a new deal could be worth up to $10 million per year over the next 20 years.
The Only Land-Based Casino in the State of Louisiana
The Caesars casino brand is a major player in the casino industry and with their Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel and Casino being the only land-based casino in the state of Louisiana, this new partnership makes a lot of sense. Considering the resort is undergoing a major renovation and will be rebranded as Caesars New Orleans, it’s an even better fit.

Crypto and McLaren Teaming Up
As a brand new Formula 1 season is about to step on the gas pedal, the legendary McLaren Racing team has inked a fresh new deal with Turkish cryptocurrency exchange, Bitci.com.
Making it official, the logo of the crypto exchange will be seen on both the racing cars and on the driver helmets.
Say Hello to a New Fan Token
McLaren Racing Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Waller commented on the deal by saying: “We are delighted to announce Bitci.com as an official partner of our McLaren F1 team. This long-term partnership with the brand and our introduction of a fan token will be the first of its kind in this sport.”
In this new and exciting partnership, McLaren will also launch its official fan token, which will work on the Bitci Chain, making it the first fan token ever to be issued by any motor racing sport.
The Beginning of a New Type of Partnership
With companies from the casino and cryptocurrency industry now taking big steps into both NFL and Formula 1, we can expect a lot more of these partnerships going forward. Although both industries have been somewhat blacklisted in many ways up until now, even powerhouse organizations such as these two can no longer ignore the power and capital these industries are bringing to the table.
