Apocalypse Super XNudge Is Far From the End of the World

I’m not sure I’ve seen Manhattan and especially Times Square like this before but at the same time it’s a perfectly good and recognizable place to use for a game like this. 

As you can see, besides the backdrop, there’s an interesting mix of characters involved. They all wear different types of masks which naturally brings us back to the covid days and the people who would walk the streets with similar fashion sense.

I do wonder the reasoning behind the names but it wouldn’t surprise me if they are based on some of the actual people working in the creative studios of Nolimit, don’t you think?

Looking at the game data, you can see that the RTP is sitting at a pretty good 96.03% but once again, I feel that the Extreme Volatility is always attractive as a player. 

Trigger the xNudge Wilds

xNudge Wilds play an important role and can land on reels 2 to 5. When one lands, it will nudge downwards to the bottom position. It will also increase your multiplier by +1 for every step it nudges. If it lands on the bottom row, it acts as a regular wild.

If you don’t think that one is enough, there’s another level available. The Super xNudge Wilds only appear on reels 3 and 4. In order for it to be activated and not act as a regular wild, it has to land on the same row on both reels. 

When activated, the Super xNudges drop to the bottom position, increasing the payout multiplier by +1 for each step it drops, then they expand to cover the entire reel. Several wild multipliers add to each other for a total wild multiplier. The maximum multiplier of the Super xNudge is x8.

So what is the bonus game like in this game? Well, there are actually two features in play and it takes 3 or 4 scatters to respectively trigger them:

• Doomsday Spins

Hoarding Feature

To make things even more complicated, both bonus rounds are split into a Hoarding and Feasting feature.

I’ll start by diving into the Hoarding feature, which is where you will begin once you get here as well. Like a Hold and Win feature, you’ll get 3 spins and when you land a new symbol, your count will reset. 

Start off with the Hoarding feature

It all comes down to value symbols that will pay anywhere between 1x up to 40x. If you can fill an entire column, you’ll get an extra spin in the Feasting feature that comes afterwards. When you run out of Hoarding Spins, you’ll move onto the Feasting version.  

Feasting Feature

This version will not only get you 5 Carnage spins or 10 Doomsday spins but you will also see a few different modifiers showing up on the top and bottom row.

• Creator – Creates a new value symbol in an empty position.
• Triplet – Randomly upgrades 3 value symbols to the next level at the same or different positions.
• Cutter – Multiplies 1 random value symbol by 2.
• Licker – Adds the highest value to the total counter.
• Crawler – Collects all symbol values and adds them to the total counter.

It all adds up along the way

A persistent version of a character symbol might show up. If so, it will move to the right to an adjacent reel with each spin, activating again until it reaches the last reel.

For players who can pull off 5 scatters in the base game, they will instead trigger something called Cataclysm Spins. To be fair, the rules are the same as Doomsday Spins BUT, you’ll only see persistent character symbols land in the Feasting feature.

How to Pay for Any Nolimit Boosters

As always with Nolimit, you’ll have your choice of paying for your boosters. This time, your options are the xBet and Super xNudge Feature Spin.

You are more than welcome to activate the xBet. Doing so will add 50% to your bet and make it more than 3 times more likely to trigger Carnage/Doomsday Spins.

If you’d rather cough up the money for the Super xNudge Feature Spins, be prepared to pay as much as 50x your bet.

Apocalypse Schmapocalypse, there’s definitely something about this game that makes it worth playing. First of all the graphics are quite eye-catching and the overall vibe is exciting enough to make you want to see what hides beneath the surface.

From the two XNudge features to the multiple bonus spins, there’s plenty for players to explore. Obviously the real action begins once you’ve triggered the bonus spins and even though I only managed to get there once, I would come back to “chase the dragon” once again.

I can’t say the Extreme Volatility was to my advantage this time around but that just means there are bigger wins waiting for me during my next visit.
