The majority of online casino players prefer playing slots while a small portion focus on table games. I have the stats from some of the biggest casinos.
What Do Casino Players Actually Play?
If you have ever visited an online casino, you know the endless amount of games available. Just start scrolling among them and you’ll know what I mean. We all have our favorite casinos and favorite games and they are all just a click away. But what do casino players actually play? Do they all prefer slots or how many would rather sit at a Blackjack table or maybe Roulette?
Slots for Everyone
There are slots that are made to appeal to pretty much everyone. Then there are slots with themes that are perhaps less commercial but are very appealing to a specific group of players. With the insane amount of slots on the market, finding one that you enjoy is the least of your problems.
Try Your Luck at Table Games
It’s easy to be blinded by all the slot machines but another major part of any casino are table games. Who doesn’t enjoy the thrill of Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat or any of the other classics. There’s no lack of options in this category either.
Playing with a live dealer really narrows the gap between online and a land based casino.
Have you tried the very popular Dream Catcher?
Game Shows
Today, there is a bigger spread of games than ever before. Non-traditional games have found their way onto the screen and it has become standard to find lottery, scratch games and even game show style games like Crazy Times and Dream Catcher.
Games like these bring a completely different vibe to a casino and I think it’s fantastic that we are seeing more and more of them and they will also appeal to a different demographic and bring in more players.

Let’s Not Complicate Things
If we can ignore the above paragraph for now, I want to focus on the divide between slots and table games. I know that most people will play one or the other and then there are some that will dabble in both, myself included.
I’ve reached out to three of the most popular casino brands and managed to get some information on the gambling pattern of their players.
Do you want to find out what those are? Does it look the same for all 3 casinos?
Here is some interesting information from our 3 participating casinos
1) 7Bit Casino – 81% Slots 11% Table Games
Let’s start off by taking a look at the reported numbers from 7Bit Casino. I can’t say I was surprised to learn that slots are absolutely dominating the interest.
From previous experience, I figured it would be a 70/30 split or maybe 80/20 so I can’t say I was taken by surprise.
I wish I had the data regarding what table games are most popular but hopefully I can present it to you at another time.

2) mBit Casino – 80% Slots 20% Table Games
I was curious to see what the numbers from our second casino, mBit. It turns out that they are pretty much identical.
Is there a big difference between casinos and their split? Well, when asked about the numbers from mBit Casino, it turns out that there isn’t much difference at all.
As a matter of fact, mBit reported an 80/20 split in favor of slots. Unfortunately I don’t have any info on the “mix-players”. The numbers might change marginally but most likely it would look close to or similar to 7Bit.
Roulette with a live dealer is always an option
3) BitStarz – 80% Slots 20% Table Games
With two casinos down and one to go, I sense that we have an indication as to where BitStarz’ numbers might land. Low and behold, BitStarz reported a similar 80/20 split, backing up the previous numbers.
The Market Seems Set
I don’t doubt there are other casinos where the players might spend a bit more time on table games but considering the above 3 casinos are some of the most popular, I’m inclined to believe this is close to how the market looks.
Does your gambling habits change in Las Vegas?
Land Based vs Online
This little survey is of course focused on online crypto/hybrid casinos only and I don’t have the numbers on how it looks at a land based casino.
For me personally, where I play does have an impact on what I decide to play. When I play online, I am much more likely to stick to slots and find something new and fun that I can really enjoy.
When I’m visiting Las Vegas or other casino hot spots however, I prefer to stay away from slots. Instead I take my chances at the Blackjack or Roulette tables.
Are you the same or do you stick to the same routines regardless of where you play?
Bottom Line
As you can see, the split between players seems to be the same regardless of where you play. This was an incredibly small sample size (only 3 casinos) but I still view this as a good indication of how it looks for the entire industry all together.
Which One Are You?
Now that you have seen the numbers, did it have any impact on you moving forward with your gambling? Are you a table game player but this made you curious about if you are missing out? I mean if 80% of all players enjoy slot machines, there has to be something about it right?
So, which side are you on? Let me know in the comment section.
Good luck!
